The Quoin Restaurant will be committed to minimal intervention and offer up an uncompromising, lighter style that celebrates craftsmanship and simplicity. The space was designed to honor the history and architecture of 1800s Wilmington while serving as a modern-day sanctuary to rendezvous with all sorts.

We went to The Quoin Restaurant for their Valentine’s Day dinner and had a great experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate without feeling overdone.
The food really stood out. The shrimp dish was perfectly cooked with a flavorful sauce, and the steak was tender and well seasoned. Both desserts, the chocolate cake and the cheesecake, were excellent and nicely presented. I will definitely come back for the cheesecake.
Service was attentive and professional throughout the evening. Overall, a place we would definitely return to.

Lovely solo dinner. My server, Eileen, was expertly aware of the food and wine menu. Everyone was helpful in accommodating my diet needs. The radicchio was marinated perfectly, in a way that reduced its bitterness. Might I suggest adding another green veg (or two) as a side dish? I didn’t want polenta or potatoes with my pasta. That seemed like too much starch. Still a bit hungry, I ordered dessert, which made me realize, potatoes would have been healthier LOL.

The rooftop bar at The Quoin is such a great spot. Beautiful space, relaxed but elevated vibe, and a perfect place to spend an evening.
The drinks really shine here. The espresso martini made with Buffalo Trace was smooth, rich, and balanced, easily one of the better ones I’ve had. The Harvest Spritz was refreshing and light, perfect for sipping while taking in the rooftop atmosphere. The old fashioned is always a solid choice too, well made and consistent. Even grabbing a Peroni felt right for the setting.
Great views, great cocktails, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while. Definitely a go to rooftop spot in Wilmington.

The food at this restaurant is truly delicious. Both the day lunch shift and the dinner shift chefs prepare outstanding dishes. I especially recommend trying the Confit Pork Shank and the Robuchon mashed potatoes – they are exceptional. Also, a special thank you for including French champagne Moët and beautiful French rosé from Provence on the menu.

I’ve gone here a couple of times for a business team dinner and love it every time! The menu is small but all dishes are thoughtful and tasty. The strawberry salad is refreshing and octopus was crispy . They have a good drink selection and creative mocktails The restaurant itself has a beautiful interior design that mixes retro and modern styles.

Tried a new place in Wilmington, Delaware called Quoin Hotel & Restaurant. Lots of potential in my opinion. We started out on the patio, but it was a bit buggy and lots of street noise so we moved inside. Looks like a great bar and the seating was excellent. Our server was terrific (Bridgette) and super knowledgeable, but service was a little inconsistent considering we had an early seating. I had the duck & pappardelle which was fantastic and the exact right portion size, but only lukewarm. I followed that with the Bronzino with fennel and citrus salad. Really light phenomenal entree! I finished with the chocolate almond torta which was the perfect way to end the meal. Evan’s brick grilled chicken had great taste but was lukewarm. They also neglected to remove the tomatoes even after we had an entire pre-meal conversation about tomatoes and cilantro. Ginny and Evan both loved their shrimp fettuccine (again not quite hot) and Ginny thought the sticky toffee pudding was better than her favorite from Gordon Ramsey!! Well worth a try but be careful about parking (we valeted).

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Perfect Anniversary Night at The Quoin
My wife and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary at The Quoin, and the entire experience was absolutely exceptional from start to finish.
The atmosphere struck a perfect balance—sophisticated without feeling stuffy, warm and inviting with an open kitchen that felt alive and welcoming. The staff was gracious, attentive, and truly seemed to enjoy helping create a memorable experience for guests.
We started with the Yellowfin Tuna Crudo and Crispy Octopus—both beautifully balanced in flavor and presentation. The Piadina Melanzana was a standout vegetarian dish that didn’t feel like a compromise in any way. The Potato Quoins were indulgent and comforting, and the Maitake Mushrooms with truffle vinaigrette delivered deep, rich flavor in every bite.
For dessert, the Trifle with orange curd and diplomat cream was a refreshing and elegant ending to the meal. The drinks—Midsummer Nights and the Lavender Spritz—were equally well-crafted, striking just the right mood for the night.
What made it truly special wasn’t just the food or the drinks, but the overall energy of the space. There was something romantic, modern, and grounded in the experience—like the restaurant is confident in who it is, and that allows guests to fully relax and enjoy.
We left feeling full, happy, and grateful. Highly recommend for any special occasion—or anytime you want to feel a little more connected to your food and your company.

This is truly my favorite restaurant. Every single time I’ve visited, the flavors, execution, and service have been incredible. I proposed to my long distance partner over the summer and made a reservation there to celebrate. When we walked in we were originally seated in a noisier table next to a birthday party, but upon letting the host know I’d just proposed, they swept us off to a private, beautiful corner of the restaurant and pulled out ALL the stops for us! I Brandon and Alaysia made our night so incredibly special! They made certain we were treated like royalty, even securing a surprise champagne toast and additional dessert as a congratulatory gift AND finding my partner an extra shell (her favorite plate of the night had been served in it) to take home with her as a keepsake. Even the house manager himself went out of his way to check in on us and ensure we were having a wonderful time!
I know this review is late, but hopefully still just as welcome then as it is now. As a local Delawarean, I’m incredibly proud to tell people from Philly that we have a restaurant worth traveling to and do so frequently.
Thank you again to all the staff, servers, chefs, hosts, and house manager for making our night so wonderful! I can’t wait to see you all again soon 🙂

My husband and I both work in downtown Wilmington so we’ll just walk from our firms and meet there for dinner. The food there is top notch! Absolutely delicious and fresh! The service is amazing too. Don’t let the fear of parking deter you because they offer valet parking but we always walk there. I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting up with friends for a couple of drinks there as well. The bars are stunning. The restaurant bar is very nice and well appointed then they have an upstairs bar/lounge which is beautiful! It also has a beautiful outdoor bar attached to the upstairs bar which is amazing for warmer weather! The coolest bar though that they have is downstairs in I guess the basement which is more like a speakeasy. The atmosphere is soooo different and plain amazing!!!! We just LOVE this place!!!
