Sydney helped me and she was brilliant! The “Spicy” breakfast sandwich is an excellent morning wake up consisting of jalapeno bagel, pastrami, egg, Swiss, jalapenos, chipotle mayo.
They also have vegetarian items another pastrami bagel sandwich, hash browns, doughnuts, and other sides!
The dark roast coffee was hot and fresh!
Amazing breakfast pick in downtown Dover, within walking distance of Central Ave.

Stumbled upon this place just looking for a good bagel. They did not disappoint! Cute little place with wonderful smells as soon as you walk in. The staff was super friendly and even had suggestions as it was our first time stopping in. If you are looking for variety, this is the place. They do have more than bagels, like sandwiches & other bakery items. However, the bagels are the star of the show!

“Bubby’s Bagels at the Dover Amtrak Station proves you don’t need a ticket to ride—you just need caffeine and a muffin.

I tried a peppermint iced coffee that tasted like Christmas clocked in early, followed by a salted caramel so smooth it could sweet-talk a parking meter. Greg (pretty sure that’s his name, but if not, he deserves the title anyway) was outrageously pleasant—basically customer service with a personality.

The atmosphere? Comfortable enough that you forget you’re next to a train station. The staff? Friendly enough that you’ll want to come back even if you’re not hungry. The muffins? Absolutely dangerous—I meant to take a bite and accidentally auditioned for ‘Disappearing Act: Bakery Edition.’

They also serve sandwiches, which I didn’t get a chance to try this time, but if they’re anything like the coffee and muffins, I may need a season pass.

If you’re in Dover and skip Bubby’s, you didn’t just miss a train—you missed joy in edible form.”

Very convenient location at the Dover, NH Amtrak & bus station. Excellent food, fairly priced. My lunch today was smoked salmon on a pumpernickel bagel and a breakfast blend coffee. It’s worth arriving early to dine before boarding the train. Friendly and efficient staff.

Someone in another review said this place rivals Bagel World, but sadly this is not the case. Bagel World has much better value. I will say the bagels here ARE quite good, but a) they are smaller than Bagel World bagels (and/or have too-large holes) and b) they are ridiculously overpriced. So you’re getting less food for nearly twice the price of Bagel World. Lower the prices and I’d be a regular customer… As it is, I could only see going here for special occasions. It shouldn’t cost $25 for a single egg sandwich and a half a dozen bagels. For comparison, at Bagel World, I can get a baker’s DOZEN (13 bagels!!), an egg sandwich, and a large iced cappuccino for literally still less. As a customer, getting good value for my dollar gives me that warm fuzzy feeling and I want to go back. The alternative is feeling vaguely ripped off… Makes me not want to return.

Bubby’s is the perfect quick breakfast while on the go. I was impressed with how quickly my sandwich came out since my train was coming soon. The bagel was fine, but I wouldn’t compare it to a NY bagel.

Their Bagels tasted so fresh and just right the cream cheese was just spot on and it was very messy in a very good way but it was very enjoyable. Highly recommend this bagel place to all the Dover natives.

In fall 2018 I was on a project in the northeast traveling between Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine.

For those of you from the south like me, you often don’t realize how beautiful it is driving in the NE with all the changing colors and little towns that you pass through. One other beautiful thing about these little towns is that they can have awesome food. One of these places is bubbys bagel and deli a random place in Portsmouth, NH I visited after a long and final project week heading to the airport.

It was there that I had one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I ordered eggs Benedict with corned beef hash on top of Latkes – here’s a play by play:

1. Latkes – can you guys believe this was my first time having Latkes? They’re delicious potato goodness
2. Corned beef – super tasty just as you’d expect of a Jewish deli
3. Eggs Benedict – incredibly tasty, eggs perfectly poached

Sadly this location is closed but it appears that they’ve opened another one in Dover, NH if you want to visit – which I highly recommend

Now that’s a bagel! Honestly one of the best I’ve had, as good as any in The City.

Service was great as well. There are a bunch of options when it comes to cream cheese and toppings, and they do sammies as well.

Highly recommended if you are in the area!
