Muchachos was a decent spot to stop and eat for an 8pm on Sunday. Many places are close to closing already. The tacos were good, the shrimp was a hit with a friend;they ordered an additional shrimp taco. The mahi taco was also good. Seemed there was only one server working along with the bartender. Service was a little slow, as expected. Clean bathrooms, parking is along the front of building or public parking not far away.

I walked in and was greeted with a friendly welcome. The chicken taco was amazing and the fajita salad was enough for 2-3 people. Great atmosphere better food. To state that some of the reviews I read are not taking into account that they were from tourists during busy season in the busiest part of bear. We have to staff according to season here and honestly the food was incredible. This will be a new spot for me.

Beautiful cantina! The birria tacos were so delicious we ate them before getting a pic!
The margaritas are very generous, but their flavor could be a bit better.
Other than that I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back! We loved it

Small Mexican restaurant located in a downtown-like district in Big Bear called The Village. They are small but offer indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a bar. Their margarita menu is pretty unique.

This place has SUCH a cute vibe but their food and service are a miss – bland, flavorless proteins and inattentive staff. Prices are high like most places on the mountain. Very disappointing!

We went to Muchachos for the first time on Halloween and it was pretty busy but we were able to try some delicious tacos We have gone multiple times since then and I can definitely say that the staff are amazing, the food is BOMB (for the most part) and it’s got a great vibe. I will say that I didn’t like that there was only one women serving the ENTIRE place on Halloween. She was running a mile a minute helping customers and I don’t think that’s fair. I would encourage the company to hire on more folks or prepare better for holidays because it sucked to see her have to work on overload because there wasn’t enough staff. It increased wait times and support for customers. Each time we’ve visited, multiple items on the menu were not available so we have had to adjust our order because of that as well. Overall a great place but I took off an extra star because it didn’t look like the place was staffed well and I don’t think that’s fair to the current employees.

Very solid MID Mexican inspired food. I say Mexican inspired because it was not authentic. Ordered the steak wet burrito and both my brother and I could not eat more than one bite, it tasted like they used El Pato sauce or something from a can instead of real enchilada sauce. We had to send them back. The shrimp bites were burnt and the “chipotle mayo” had no flavor. Taco Bell would have been better.

Very friendly staff, very family friendly. Also very accommodating to food allergies thanks to having a real in-house chef preparing everything fresh. This is a favorite spot of mine for Big Bear Lake.. Recommend the tacos, and my son loves the burritos.
The shrimp is their specialty.
My wife loves the chicken taquitos.

We came in on a Sunday morning to have our final breakfast in Big Bear. The ambiance, decorations, and artwork set the tone for a great experience. We did not have any expectations of the food based on our location, however, we were blown away by the different flavors. With multiple salsas ranging from mild and hot was great. We had a birria soup and bomb green chilaquiles that were delicious. I would recommend this place, good food, great services, and decent prices!

My family is visiting from Chicago and we found this AMAZING place to have lunch! The tacos are indescribably DELICIOUS! We had the Birria, steak, shrimp and Barbacoa tacos and we didn’t leave a crumb behind! The beer and drinks were also very well served!! We recommend this place to anyone that wants to have an excellent eating experience! Best place EVER!

It was friendly however I always expect more when it comes to Mexican food. If you don’t get good reviews you’re not trying hard enough. It was our first time and won’t go back. Everything was over priced for what you received. Mahi Mahi Taco was comical it was a cabbage taco at best. The Birria Quesadilla was tasty. Charging for Chips and salsa when you order an queso elote dip is ridiculous. But the dip was really good! Drinks were very expensive. A Cadillac Margarita was super expensive, too much lime in the mix so I had to add a $18.00 shot of Grand Marnier just to help with taste.
More focus on food and less on price.
