The Sippery is one of our favorites! The coffee menu is great – my kiddos love the Italian sodas and desserts, all around it’s the best. The owner Chantelle is one of a kind! She leads with so much passion, and you truly see this in her staff. Today I went in and had a small inconvenience with a gift card – Daelynn was working the counter and she was so kind and sweet. She was quick to help and make sure I was heard and taken care of, even at 8am in a busy coffee shop! It was a great reminder of how much a small, kind interaction can change your entire mood. Super thankful for such a great, beautiful spot to get coffee and connect in our community!! 10/10 recommend!

I’m not much of a sit-down coffee person—I’m usually a quick drive-thru iced coffee, take it home and get to work kind of girl. But when I do want to sit and stay awhile, The Sippery is absolutely where I’d go.
There’s always a great mix of people here: students from the local college, regulars, Bible studies, mom groups—it truly feels like there’s a place for everyone, which is exactly what they aim for.
The coffee is great, but the food really deserves the spotlight. Bagel sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches on English muffins, avocado toast on steroids—it’s all genuinely good. No complaints. They also offer smoothies, teas, coffee, and even dirty sodas, so there’s something for everyone.
On top of the food, drinks, and cozy vibes, they feature local artists with items for sale like jewelry, handmade bookmarks (shoutout to Shane!), journals, cups, and more. It’s the kind of place you come for coffee and end up staying longer than planned.
Highly recommend.

A favorite for coffee, breakfast, and lunch on Main Street. The staff are warm, genuine, and welcoming. Being situated close to Western Oregon University and other biz makes for a great meeting spot too.

Mine and my husbands favorite spot for coffee and a delicious breakfast sandwich! Went in today to grab a quick snack. Ken was working behind the counter, she helped me pick something out and was so friendly and welcoming. The customer service is top notch!

The owners of this coffee shop are incredibly kind, welcoming, and dedicated to creating an exceptional experience for their customers. As someone who frequents coffee shops across Oregon for one-on-one meetings, I can confidently say that the quality of the coffee, the inviting atmosphere, and the outstanding food set this establishment apart. It is, without a doubt, the best coffee shop in Oregon and the finest coffee in the Willamette Valley.
Unfortunately, negative reviews often come from those who have never experienced the challenges of running a business. I encourage everyone to take the time to visit The Sippery—you won’t be disappointed.

I absolutely love this place! The bagels are so good and I love getting an iced lavender chai. It’s so cute and cozy on the inside as well as great dog friendly outdoor seating. Always worth the drive from salem (:

Have always had great experiences here at The Slippery. My significant other absolutely loves their cold brew – arguably the best cold brew in the PNW – but the real magic is in their breakfast food! The prices are a steal for the quality and portions you get. This is truthfully a gem of Monmouth and is worth driving to if you live in the Salem/Keizer area for a weekend splurge. If you haven’t tired The Slippery, you’re missing out on great coffee and great breakfast food!

Great place. I didn’t actually try any of the pastries, so I can’t rate those, but the friend I met there told me they’re wonderful. Chairs are brutally uncomfortable, especially for someone like me who lives with chronic pain. I mean BRUTALLY uncomfortable. Staff are lovely, kind, attentive, speedy, and friendly people who will make you feel welcomed. Being in a college town, you will witness young people living in one another in their own generationally appropriate ways, which just adds to the lovely atmosphere. I asked for my iced tea extra dark, and she did NOT disappoint me! It was really good!

First of all, when you walk in the place it’s really exciting. Looks super cool! Super cozy you think it’s going to be really good. Just sit down me and my son. He gets a peach banana milkshake I get a coffee and we both get the signature. The regular bagel sandwich and it was straight foul. Disgusting. I’m pretty sure I have food poisoning now. I went down the straight to another place to get more breakfast because it was so gross straight waste of my money. The lady up the counter was she was pretty nice but the dude who my son’s movie was just like nose was up and act like we were like nothing to them. I don’t know it was just not okay

We’re so glad to have The Sippery in Monmouth. This is exactly the kind of coffeeshop I love to work from on my laptop – tall ceilings, nice vibe, good food, plus indoor and outdoor seating. And it’s open from morning until late evening. This has easily become one of the best places to hang out or study in town, although personally we are waiting until after the pandemic to do so.
In addition to coffee drinks, The Sippery also serves baked goods (including gluten-free options), gelato, and a nice menu of hot meal items that look fantastic.
