Hachi Hana Japanese Restaurant is now my favourite Japanese restaurant on the North Shore.
My friend and I ordered Beef Yaki Soba, Prawn and Yam Tempura and an assortment of sushi rolls, including Unagi, California Roll, B.C. Roll, Dynamite Roll and Prawn Tempura Roll.
The Beef Yaki Soba was fantastic. The presentation was remarkable – the dish was sizzling and bubbling for at least 30 seconds when the server placed it on the table. The noodles were thin and perfectly tender.
The tempura was exceptionally warm, delicate and fluffy and was not over-battered.
The sushi was also excellent (I’m not a big fan of rice or raw fish). The unagi and B.C. rolls were particularly delicious.
The ambiance was cozy and welcoming. The restaurant was very quiet – a prefect environment to carry on a conversation.
The service was also fine. The server replenished piping hot tea on several occasions.
This restaurant is a must-try for fans of Oriental food!

Orange County
Korean sushi style for sure. The spicy sauce was a little different but still decent. Food was fast and service efficient but the music style ( 1950’s) didn’t fit the ambiance.

Been getting takeout here for years. Quality is quite good, pricing is decent and the service is great. Love the dynamite rolls and the sashimi. One of the best sushi spots on the north shore by a mile.

Came here for lunch in North Vancouver and tried Hachi Hana for the first time.
We ordered a few rolls.
The Hot pepper roll was very tasty. A lot of prawn tempura and it was spicy. We liked it.
The scallop roll was very fresh and tasted excellent!
Finally we ordered the salmon sashimi. Pieces were quite large and fresh tasting. Great texture too!
Overall, the sushi was great. We liked it. Very good sushi rolls and great sashimi! Would come back again.

One of the best sushi places I’ve ever visited! The food is incredibly flavorful, and the cleanliness of the restaurant is impeccable. However, I did find it a bit unusual that there were no napkins at the table, and soy sauce was also missing. These are small but essential details you’d expect at a sushi restaurant.

We visited Hachi Hana Japanese Restaurant and had an amazing sushi experience! The ingredients were super fresh, the presentation was beautiful, and everything tasted delicious. The atmosphere was calm and cozy, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing meal.
Our server, Yeni, was kind, friendly, and very attentive. Her great attitude really made our visit even more enjoyable.

The food was amazing! The West Coast Roll was a standout flavorful and unforgettable. While the bluefin tuna sashimi was good, the complimentary poke-style tuna blew us away definitely order that instead.
The vibe was relaxed, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Parking is street-only with a 1-hour limit, but we had no trouble finding a spot.

I had a great experience at Hachi Hana. The sushi was very fresh and made with high-quality ingredients. You can really taste the difference. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is calm, clean, and very pleasant. a perfect place to enjoy Japanese food. Highly recommend for anyone who loves good sushi and a nice dining environment!

Thr owner kindly informed us where to park (underground visitor parking) and he came out to help us leaving as it was after 2100. This kind tailored care is rare to experience these days. It was quite touching. I deeply give thanks to him.

The (japanese?) waitress greeted us very warmly. Ordered the hwedup bap and sashimi was quite fresh. I would have preferred more rice over the salad. There was a lottt of salad.
