The Branding Iron – Pine Valley, UT
A hidden gem with a true local charm! The Branding Iron delivers a great small-town vibe with big flavor. We had the prime rib with potato smashers and the filet mignon with sweet potatoes—both were perfectly cooked with a rich, smoky flavor that stole the show. The atmosphere is pure cowboy authenticity—rustic, cozy, and full of character. It’s a friendly, family-owned spot that feels like stepping into the Old West for a great meal. Just a heads-up: they’re only open on summer weekends and closed the rest of the year, so be sure to plan ahead—reservations are a must. A must-visit if you’re in the area!

Such a great experience and the food is delicious. Small family run restaurant serving local Pine Valley area residents. Check the hours of operation as they are only open seasonally. Also there’s an excellent ice cream shop connected to and just outside of the restaurant.

Food was excellent. A small menu but everything we were looking for, great steak, chicken, fish and Pie! Service was excellent and had live music. Worth the drive!

I visited in June. We waited over an hour to get our food, and we had little kids in our group who had to wait so long to eat. I saw people who came after us receive their food quickly and leave before we were even served. We did not get a true apology for the wait either. The burger seemed burnt on the outside, maybe it was char broiled but that was not advertised. I would not visit again.

The town is beautiful but the experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The fish sandwich was overpriced and tasted like frozen store fish, about 90 percent breading to 10 percent fish. One of us had the burger which was neither good nor bad, just plain. The waitress was sarcastic about drink choices and rude when we asked for mayonnaise which made the visit even less enjoyable. I would not recommend this place based on our visit.

Delicious food (at least the navajo taco and the homemade chicken fingers, which is what we ordered) in a cozy environment and great attention. What else can you ask for?

Very friendly service. They know how to make some good sauces. The main meals are great. The sides are not my favorite.

Pleasantly surprised! Perfectly nice place but I was expecting frozen chicken tenders like most places and thats okay…but they were freshly battered and fried and so nice! My boyfriend had the burger and said it was great
We were very happy with the food and appreciated them accommodating a small request i had. Definitely try this place when your exploring beautiful Pine Valley.

The food was excellent, the staff was very welcoming and accommodated my friend’s severe garlic allergy very well. I had salmon and it was absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection with a wonderful mango/avocado salsa.
Prices were reasonable too. Thank you for a great dining experience!!!

Cute little restaurant with a small convenience store attached. We actually just came for the ice cream, that darn sign out front got us haha. Good price and good ice cream on a hot day. The restaurant itself looks nice, I grew up in the area but still haven’t eaten there. It’s open two days a week, and prices are high, but for the location I suppose it’s fair.
