I finally gave it a shot and tried this place out via delivery after seeing it pop up many times on Doordash. They offer a wide variety of Chinese and Chinese American dishes, such as chow mein, fried rice, soup, appetizers entrees like orange chicken, salt and pepper chicken wings/salt and pepper pork chops, rice plates, combo meals and much more to choose from. Everything was made to order which is always a plus for me since it is quality over quantity and I never mind the wait since I am a very patient person. This place is like a hole in the wall spot, where it is located in the back streets and you might not even know it is there. I highly recommend this place to anyone on a limited time, if you are willing to try something by new or if you just so happen to be in the area to check them out. I definitely will order from here again and make a visit in person one day to tryout the other delicious options they have to offer.

Went in on a Saturday night! Partner and I got the orange chicken over rice and the green bean and chicken over rice. Food was piping, hot and fresh. not overly salted as well. There are indoor tables for seating.

Giving this review because I found a hair in my food twice.
First time I let it go, but second time I found a very long hair attached to an orange chicken piece.
I hate to have to do this, I think their food is good, but food production seems to be poor since this is happening again.

I visited E & J with high hopes of trying their pan-fried noodles, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.
Firstly, when I called to place my order, the worker on the phone seemed impatient and unfriendly, clearly annoyed by my questions. Despite this, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and proceeded with my order.
Upon picking up my food and returning home, I eagerly dug into the pan-fried noodles, only to be met with sheer disappointment. The noodles had a watery consistency that was far from appetizing, and the taste was completely bland and unremarkable.
Overall, I regret spending my money here and would strongly discourage anyone else from doing the same. E & J failed to meet even the most basic expectations, and I will certainly not be returning.
Save your time and money and look elsewhere for a better dining experience.

Food is definitely not like Nancy who used to own the place but our server was great! The price was okay and the food was mediocre.

Some of the best priced Chinese food in the area. I’ve been coming here my entire life. I just realized the name of this place is J & E. I’ve always referred to it as “Nancy’s.” Lol

Ordered the Fried chicken over pork bbq fried rice. The chicken is very moist and tender. The fried rice is good. The portion is huge for its price. I believe it’s a little over $10 for this dish. It’s near SF general hospital so it can get very busy during lunch hours.

I went there with my daughter and spent $60 plus dollars on the worst food ever…the deep fried wontons had 2 pieces of pork in it with a huge hard uneddible piece of wonton…I should have went somewhere else…I’ll leave a pick..so you can see for yourself

I asked for over fried rice, and they still gave me steamed rice. It would take another 5 minutes or so to change it! Tried the food, and it’s inedible. Too salty! There would be less salt drinking soy sauce. I had to get my own drink from the fridge! $11 down the drain!
