We had such a wonderful time here! Joel and Monica were especially amazing—they made us feel so comfortable. The food was all delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. The table was set up with a little tea box, and we loved that you could smell each tea before deciding which one to order. From the high tea menu, we especially enjoyed the mini roast beef sandwiches and all the coconut desserts —they paired perfectly with Byredo’s new scent, Alto Astral, which features coconut notes. We also appreciated that you can order the high tea for just one person so that we could order some main dishes from the brunch menu. The steak was surprising good, and we also loved the burger and the Maui rice bowl. Overall, it was such a lovely experience, and we’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Had a really lovely, quiet lunch here with a friend recently. We were seated in a cozy corner booth which made it feel relaxed and private — a nice escape from the busyness of downtown.

My friend ordered the mussels, which were delicious, but we were surprised they didn’t come with bread. The only included side option was fries, which she didn’t really want, so we ended up ordering bread separately. Just something to be aware of when ordering.

I had a salad that was fresh and well prepared, and we both enjoyed our matcha lattes — nicely balanced and not overly sweet.

The café itself is quite tucked away inside Holt Renfrew and a little hard to find if you don’t already know it’s there. It feels like a hidden spot, which adds to the quiet atmosphere, but better signage would help.

Only downside of the afternoon was receiving an $80 parking ticket downstairs — definitely double-check parking rules if you’re driving.

Overall, a pleasant and peaceful lunch spot in the middle of downtown.

Very nice experience set in large cushioned sofas in the corner of the cafe. The food was delicious but wasn’t that fantastic to garner the price they were charging per person. Maybe it was part of the Christmas atmosphere to make it feel like a worthwhile present. Parking is tough as the cage is inside the Holt Renfrew Dept. Store. Service was good.

Didnt expect there’s a cute cafe inside the holt renfrew. Juvy was our server, she was amazing, went above and beyond! We had brunch and the place is cozy.

We have been a frequent brunch diner at Holts Cafe for quite some time, which makes this review especially disappointing to write. It appears there may have been an management change, as Sunday brunch to our surprise is no longer available, and prices have increased significantly. Although the service was good, it could not replace the poor quality of the food.

During my recent visit, my lunch arrived quickly, but unfortunately it was cold and had to be sent back. The portions were noticeably smaller than in the past, and the cut of steak was clearly a poor-quality piece with excessive fat. Overall, the meal did not reflect the price being charged.

Sadly, it is not as good as it once was and no longer offers value for the cost. With so many strong dining options in the area, I will not be returning in the future.

This is a hidden gem. My favourite place for afternoon tea and they change the theme very often. It’s not too busy but food and service is always excellent. Love their fresh oysters during happy hours too! Reservations required for their afternoon tea.

The current high tea at Holts it’s not worth it. Starting at $78, we received only 2 items that were outlined in their set high tea menu. Truly disappointed. The replacement items are not equal too the original items either. Would recommend just ordering from the regular menu.

Year of the Snake lunar new Year high tea collaboration with Sulwahsoo – was the best high tea I’ve ever had. Desserts were delicately flavors and made , the savory creations were truly unique and superior to the typical mini croissant sandwich /egg salad sandwich/ pickle and mayo sandwich you typically get at high teas. Highly recommend.
