Stopped in for a late lunch, it’s nondescript from the outside, but inside it’s clean, tidy, and comfortable. We had noodle soups and scallion pancakes. Both soups had really nice broth, lots of sides to add, and a couple of sauces as well. They were busy even in the middle of the afternoon. We’ll go back.

Visited here for several times and also placed order via Uber for delivery.
The service is always good. The interior space is not big but enough for a quick meal.
I love the soup base which is savory and not too salty. The portion is big for me. The rice noodles are still good even with delivery.

Glad to find this place by accident and we love it! Ordered R1. Original Cross Bridge Rice Noodle ($11.95) and R9 Pork Chop Tomato Rice Noodle ($11.95) that are cook at kitchen and bring to the table, and R11 Fish w. Sour Cabbage Rice Noodle ($13.95) to cook on our own. (The difference is the pot is sizzling hot enough to cook the ingredients on the table; no extra fire source unlike the hot pot.) They are all delicious! Will definitely try this place again next time we visited the area.

To go order. Fantastic packaging great portions on meat. Got the tomato noodle soup with 2 fruit teas. The flavor is incredible, not too strong a flavor of star anise. With the tomato, it’s a balanced warm flavor. It’s the best fall dish. The noodles are deliciously slurpable and don’t get soggy in the soup. It’s a great portion, love the woodear mushrooms.
And the teas are great, a lot of fresh fruit and good, balanced flavor. Not too sweet or floral.

Absolutely love this place! Hidden gem, the Yunnan Noodle were so spicy but delicious! We ordered the fried oysters, fried squid, intestines and beef ones. Love both of their noodles soups, the services are great and fast, will definitely come back to try more!

Came here with a colleague and had the fried oyster appetizer and fried pork chop rice noodle in tomato broth. Both were excellent! Returned the next day with my hubby and had the fried jumbo shrimp appetizer and the beef flank rice noodle in tomato broth. Both were amazing! The name “Shi Miao Dao” or in Chinese “十秒到” means “arrive in 10 seconds”. In both my visits, the dishes indeed did arrive swiftly
, steaming hot and absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant!!

The restaurant is pretty small and cozy. We ordered seafood and chicken soups. The seafood soup was good, but the chicken soup was ok. The noodles were overcooked, and the chicken pieces had a smell, so I didn’t like it. I also ordered fried shrimp and scallion pancakes. Both the appetizers were good. Overall, it is a casual spot for soups and appetizers.

Shimiaodao in Rockville delivers a wonderful experience every time. The rice noodle soup was deeply flavorful and comforting, with rich broth, tender meats, and perfectly cooked noodles. You could either do the DIY hot pot-style setup or have them prepare everything ready to eat right away.
The portions are generous, and the ingredients always taste fresh. The price was very reasonable.
Service is quick and efficient, and the restaurant is clean and welcoming. A fantastic place to warm up and enjoy a satisfying meal—definitely one of my go-tos in Rockville!
The seating area is limited, but I had no issue finding a table around 6 pm on a Saturday evening.

If you have been ordering take out since this restaurant opened last year, try dine in. The tastes is even better. The rice noodles are what they supposed to taste like. The soup base is pretty good. When you dine in, soup can be brought out boiling and you’ll add the small dishes and finally the noodles. This is how it is supposed to be prepared. Of course, you can choose to allow kitchen to add everything.
