Ordered through Uber Eats. After searching for the right Chinese restaurant, I am so glad we chose China Garden. The small was perfect for one! The seasoning and overall meat to rice ratio was perfect. For my house fried rice, I liked that the shrimp was deveined and great size. My husband had the chicken fried rice, and said the chicken pieces should be a bit bigger. The egg rolls were also very flavorful. It had celery and I didn’t notice until my last bite! We didn’t mind.

This used to be my favorite spot for a cozy and somewhat authentic Chinese restaurant. They have a young guy as a server in a dirty shirt and scandals YUCK! Then my favorite girl who has been there forever upfront is blowing her noise and cleaning and wiping her noise right on the floor while I wait for my food.
My husband’s portion was decent for lunch, and my shrimp egg Foo young was excessively way too much. I don’t like the glaze looking gravy. I like the rich, smooth gravy. So my experience was just okay. Im not sure if I’m going back.

I gave 5 stars for service and atmosphere since I ordered delivery and can’t comment on those.

But the food…*deep sigh*… I’m compelled to say how lackluster this experience was. I try to remind myself not to have ‘high expectations’ when it comes to Central Florida and its American Chinese food, and this was another ‘not it!’

The Shrimp lo mein was flavorless and had extremely mushy noodles. Thankful I had extra soy sauce, oyster sauce, and msg on hand to help this one. The chicken wings were hard and over fried. The platters’ only star was the beef teriyaki. The wontons and crab ragoon were hard and inedible, the ‘spareribs’ were overcooked and hard, the fried shrimp tasted like they were previously frozen and were hard as rocks, the spring rolls were mushy and had a weird ‘metallic’ aftertaste.

For the price, this was not worth it. But hey, everyone has different taste buds…

Tried to pass off shrimp with vegetables for crispy walnut shrimp. Very disappointed. Everything is below average

I’ve been coming to this place for a decade and I’m never disappointed. It is proper hole in the wall East coast style Chinese food.

I’m from Chicago. It has been so hard to find a good Chinese restaurant in Orlando. Very impressed with their orange chicken will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

The lady at the front taking orders was very rude and did not know how to speak respectfully with customers. The food was decent, but some items were undercooked and unfortunately had to be tossed. If the customer service and attention to food preparation improve, this place could be much better.

Came here on a whim passing though with work. Was not expecting a full sit down restaurant. Were sat immediately and given menus. The woman serving us brought a plate of fried wonton skins and duck sauce. Wow want expecting that. I got Hunan pork with fried rice combo. When I asked for double spicy the waitress actually chuckled. Took less than ten minutes to receive the meal. It was great. If I’ll back in the area would love to stop in again

We go take-away (to-go) food. Delivered by Uber Eats, no complaints there. Food was warm/hot and all items ordered were delivered. However, the food had little flavor and we have a lot of leftovers that went untouched the next day. We ordered boneless rib meat which was dry, and in small pieces. Didn’t expect that. Wonton and Egg Drop soup were bland. Pork fried rice was also tasteless and not at all fluffy. In fact, it was rather stuck together. The Lemon Chicken was thin, dry and lacked all flavor unless dipped in or covered by the lemon sauce. Steamed dumplings had some flavor but we weren’t sure exactly what the filling inside was. The cashew chicken was mainly cashews. That’s what we ordered for 2 people and it was $100. I’m still looking for good Chinese food on our side of town. The search goes on. Photos in this review would mean little to nothing b/c the dishes were tasteless/flavorless. Sorry, not sorry. Have to be honest.

They must be hurting for cash. $17.50 for a Sesame shrimp styro, it included a really small portion of breaded shrimp, and a lot of broccoli and I didn’t even ask for the broccoli nor breaded shrimps but I figure maybe that’s normal for this plate. Anyway, the vegetable eggroll was $2.75 and it was near hollow seriously! The wrapper was flaky and prepared well. The egg drop wonton soup is thick like syrup, but it really had 3 wontons inside the small container and it costed nearly $9. I also ordered teriyaki sticks not bad and some vegetable fried rice but I’m full now OH boy. $51 altogether but I won’t be back, upset about my sesame shrimp tray and this egg drop soup and the hollow, expensive eggroll. ✌
