I came in on a Greyhound (that’s a whole other experience) and only ordered because:
A. I haven’t had Church’s Chicken in over 30 years.
B. The bus driver and everyone else was ordering it.
C. The other choices at this Road Ranger Travel Center were lacking.
D. The driver said we weren’t going to be stopping near anything else that was going to be any better.
…my decision was made.
The older lady at the counter (assuming by the receipt that her name is Deb) was nice and professional. She had a deep line of clients and she was handling orders like a real pro. Her staff was doing their best to keep up and I think they did well.
When I tasted my hot and fresh chicken… it was quite tasty. The wraps were tiny and I felt ripped off but the flavor made up for it and since when isn’t anyone feeling ripped off now these days.

I spent almost $30 this morning! And to get some dry old chicken from the day before is unacceptable at the 11:00 clock hour which is the beginning of the day . We as truck drivers are already paying a higher price than normal locations that’s not a truck stop so to not get the best quality is very disappointing. Also Trying calling back and of course nobody answers the phone and you can’t leave a voicemail message because it’s full I wonder why it’s full probably full of disappointed customers

This place is just the way I rembered when I grew up in South Norfolk VA. Coleslaw and 2 PC combo sweet tea and biscuit awesome. all that was missing was corn on cob dipped in butter on the spindle machine. Everyone reinvent food was hot and fresh. Staff helpful and friendly. Thanks for a great dinner.

I love Church’s Chicken, but this place still has the rice. Which i believe is the best Cajun rice by far! The ladies that worked that Saturday morning were very friendly and hospitable. They really made me feel welcomed and i appreciate that. Sorry i don’t know names but thank you. After dealing with rude people all day you guys really made my day! 12-6-2025

If this is “Texas Chicken”, then Texas should stick with steak. This stuff was awful!
The drive through is broken. Not a huge mark, but the sign that was posted had obviously been there more than a few days.
The, upon opening the box, the chicken was extremely anemic looking – it was the color of the fries!
Not only did it not look appetizing, but it was dry and tough. The fries were soggy. The biscuit was OK.
I should’ve gone to Taco Bell.

Apparently this is a large okra and fries. Not worth the price. Glad I only got 10 tenders. Otherwise they’d have to count with their fingers and toes to get all my food.

45 minutes before close. Someone was cleaning the fryers and the things I tried to order they said they didn’t have. They had alot of fried chicken cooked and sitting under the heat lamp. So unless it was under that heat lamp I couldn’t order it. So since I was being lied to by them saying they were out….I didn’t get anything…very disappointed being we made a special trip there.

The food was hot and fast! We didnt have to wait longer than 4 minutes! The Baked mac and cheese was creamy and was cooked to perfection. We tried the regular and the spicy chicken and they were both amazing! The biscuits were hot and sweet and tasty. Even the Mashed Potatoes and Gravy was made perfectly. Plus the price wasnt to expensive!!! My fiance drove me all the way to Marshall, Illinois from Terre Haute, Indiana all because he swears Church’s Chicken is the best fried chicken place within a 100 mile radius! We will definitely be making this a regular monthly stop!
