Happily rolled into town and needed one thing. A hamburger. My god. Why here? Why is the best burger and fries in the world all the way out here? This is local whole ground beef. You’ll understand the density of the beef and its flavor once you bite into it. Come hungry. Leave happy. Keep up the great work guys!

If you’re only gonna do one thing, you better do it well and holy cow (no pun intended) does this place deliver! I’ll admit that when I walked in and just saw burgers and fries on the menu that I was a bit nervous but wow! This is seriously the best burger I’ve ever had and the service was amazing. The fries are so great too— though they give you a LOT (not complaining but just to let folks know you could probably share one order for two people)! Amazing experience overall.

We had a great burger and experience at 1 Cow. The fryer was down but Josh and Ryan hooked us up with fresh fried potato medallions on the grill with tallow. They seasoned them – it was money! Burgers were amazing. They really wanted to make our experience special. Thanks to the crew at 1 cow!

When you go to Ten Sleep, 1 Cow is a must visit if your hungry. This place has the best burger and fries within a hundred miles. Their fryer was down so they improvised and whipped us up some tallow grill fried medallion potatoes that were amazing. Great service! Kudos to Josh and Ryan working that day.

Local grass fed beef burgers with incredible service and an amazing atmosphere. For anyone traveling through Ten Sleep or Wyoming this is a must stop. Immediately upon walking through the door I knew I was in for some excellent food. The staff is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. Don’t miss this spot!

Was passing through this town on my cross country road trip and the bartender at Ten Sleep Brewing Co recommended it. I crossed the country coast to coast and this was by far the best burger and fries I had. I’ll be dreaming about this place for years to come and will make it a point to go back to WY just for this spot!

They are completely natural, I had to pick up the juices. Best burger this side of the mountain! Fresh cut fries, sauces to die for. These folks really know what’s good!

Best burger I’ve ever had, fries were great and the burger sauce was delicious. Just to show how good the food was, I am writing this about four months later and I live 1,000+ miles away from this place, only been once. I hope this place stays open because one of these days in the future I’m gonna be back. Great place, loved everything about it. Beautiful location too, near the Bighorns.

It’s a meat-eater must stop. In a state where ‘Eat Beef” oversees every mile, this is an exceptional burger. The beef, the bacon, the bun, the tomato (I didn’t even like tomato, but it looked so good.) The tallow fries are also worth raving about. Come for the climbing, camping, hunting, views. But definitely stop for a burger.
The staff was awesome, the space is incredible. I’d argue for this to be the model for a new age American diner experience.
We have been through Ten-sleep on western road trips several times, we’re always willing to go a little out of the way for the gorge and Bighorn views. 1 Cow is now in that list of places we’ll happily detour for.

As previous reviews have stated, why is the best burger joint in the world right here in this cozy little town, over a thousand miles away from home? A friend and I were taking a cross-country motorcycle trip and had been living off some pretty bland food the past few days. When we got here and had a burger, I was in awe. Never in my life have I had a burger this good. Nothing complicated, great ingredients, reasonably priced, and a massive selection of spices and sauces that you are free to use as you please. This is a MUST STOP if you are within a 200 mile radius. To make the trip not just for a burger, Ten Sleep is right next to the Bighorn National Forest, a beautiful national park that isn’t as packed with visitors as Yellowstone but still is comparable in terms of beauty! I’ll spend the rest of my life eating burgers at dive bars and uppity restaurants, thinking “This is good, but not 1 Cow good.”
