Why Kay Jack: It’s our attention to detail that sets Kay Jack Pizza apart. “Quality ingredients” and “fresh products” are not just marketing terms for us – they’re actually how we do business. Nothing on our menu is that basic, frozen, reheated food served off the back of a delivery truck like you would get at a typical pizza chain. Instead, we have built each recipe on our menu with attention to quality and flavor because that’s how your local pizzeria should do it, right? If you want to know more about our doughs, sauces, and key ingredients, check out our quality section on our website or follow us on Facebook!

Reviews
The dough is homemade and hand rolled. If you can’t “just tell” by the flavor and texture, walk inside and at any given time there’ll be someone rolling dough. The sauce has a tang, a slight spice and hint of sweet. The cheese is real, not that plastic crap you get from somewhere like Zeppe’s.
Overall, im deeply grateful for Kay Jack saving Lake County from mediocrity. In a world of Domino’s, always be a Kay Jack.
Wall of Text review:
Pizza snob review, and hopefully Lay Jack’s gets on the One Bite app soon since it’s specifically for pizza.
To start, they had terrific pizza and especially for our area in Madison/Northeast Ohio it’s all fast food pizza or locally owned, high efficiency, medium or low quality pizza available at other places. The cheese melted perfectly and even though we got the pepperoni it was not too greasy. We additionally tried their specially Buffalo pizza and it was very good. The additional garlic butter that they can put on your crust is highly recommended cuz it does add a lot.
The reason I recommend definitely getting garlic butter is mostly tied into my one minor criticism is that the crust is quite large and takes up a lot of the space of the pizza. I’m not sure if the dough / yeast development is causing something to go haywire but the point still stands that I think the crust is a bit much.
To clarify the price discussed from other reviews, Kay jack’s is slightly more expensive than other local restaurants in the area. I even did a quick research because I thought I might have been misjudging. I did a comparison between Brewstreaks, Joey’s/Longo’s, Sammy K’s and Kay Jacks. It is at worst $2 more for normal one topping pizzas and ~$4 dollars more for specialty pizza. It’s not THAT bad of an upcharge for the quality you’re getting.
Kay jack really steps up the game in our local region. If there were other places really emphasizing truly quality Pizza pies I would probably be more scrutinizing but I have to give credit to anyone trying to really produce a high-quality pie in this area. They hit some very high marks.
update:
So we have been coming back and still even on 1/14 /24 major issues with running out of items. They wont let you secure an order for later in the day even if paying up front, so luck of the draw I guess one of these days I will get to try a sub or mac n cheese. As good as the food is its just not going to be in my top 10 places that will rely on. So good luck everything we have is has been good but………
