Stumbled across this restaurant about a month ago and have been back 3 times. The food is amazing. They absolutely KNOW what they’re doing in the kitchen. Tried 6 different dishes including each type of eggs Benedict they offer. The sauce is never broken. The service is great and our server, Summer, was very attentive. Will continue to drive 40 minutes each way to dine here. Shrimp and grits today.

Great staff, super welcoming and attentive. A big group of us arrived in the morning midweek and we had great service and the food was excellent, many full bellies and almost clean plates as the portions are very generous. The shrimp and grits was fantastic!

Shrimp and grits were good. Salad not bad. “Country fried steak” – can’t say anything good. Meat was a breaded processed meat patty. Mashed potatoes had the flavor and consistency of Instant. Corn was from a can.
Service was decent, no complaints.
Atmosphere is lacking. Dining room has a metal ceiling. Room is LOUD.

Their breakfast is phenomenal. The southern omelet has so much flavor and the grits were done right. Summer was so sweet and took such great care of us. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. We will be back for sure.

I was in town visiting from WV and this place was very welcoming. The food was fabulous. I was able to dine here a few times. I can’t wait to return for more delicious southern food!

This is a great little hidden gem. If you’re not looking for it, you’ll pass it up. Just looking at the building, you’d never think they had some of the best food in the area.
The fish n grits were so good, I had to get it a 2nd time in a row (which I never do anywhere) because I didn’t want to believe it was the best fish n grits I had ever had. I was right, it was that good. Shrimp n grits are also just as good as anywhere and yes, they are different. The service is great! Your drink will stay full, you won’t wait long for food, you can always find a server nearby that is willing to serve.
This isn’t your typical country style Mom n Pop shop. This has the perfect amount of New Orleans flair while staying true to homestyle cooking. It’s a 45 minute drive for us but we have made it a Sunday brunch regular rotation.
I wish I had more photos because the one I have doesn’t do it justice. This bowl of fish n grits is more than one person should eat at one sitting but I can’t help myself and I leave the place stuffed!
I will have to update this post once we go back and I can get more pics.

The dirtiest and slowest restaurant I have ever experienced. The floors have not been cleaned in years and the tables were worn out. We had two children and waited over 45 minutes for any food. When it arrived it was cold. I would never go here again.

The country fried steak with mashed potatoes, is like a warm hug! Tastes just like what my mom used to cook when I was a kid! I’d give it 10 stars if I could!

A bit off the beaten path, just north of Dolly’s Gas on 603 in Kiln. Thankfully they have a sign on the right of the road by their building, we passed right by it the 1 st so keep an eye out.
Comfy, homey interior; nice, friendly staff; the regular food options along with some good, creative options like Patton Hot Sausage Benedicts. The sausage gravy and biscuits was a big hit as were the hashbrowns. The waffles and pancakes quickly disappeared as well. I’d like to return for lunch when we’re in the area.
