We stopped by Braum’s in Sallisaw while passing through, and it was easily the highlight of our day! This place is a true Oklahoma staple, combining a grill, a fresh grocery market, and their legendary ice cream all under one roof. I was really impressed with the service; the staff was quick and friendly, even though the place was buzzing with people. The atmosphere is super inviting—it has that classic American diner feel, and everything was clean and smelled like fresh waffle cones. We ordered the signature burgers and some milkshakes; the patties were juicy, and the ice cream was incredibly rich and creamy. The location on Kerr Blvd is very convenient with plenty of parking. You definitely need to check this spot out if you’re looking for a great meal and some genuine hometown hospitality!

they get my order wrong every single time I go in there. Not a complicated order jus a chicken club with no lettuce. Noone cleans the dining area. Theres never a clean table to eat at and the restrooms are always filthy. That place needs to be shut down

We ordered a large chocolate shake and a small strawberry shake. The cashier repeated the order then gave us a small and a large strawberry shake. They remade the large chocolate shake but acted like it was a chore.

Clean stop. We wanted milkshakes. The young lady whipped them up and brought them over and apologized that they were so thin … I picked up the cup and it was so liquidy that there’d be no need for a straw… Literally, just turn it up and drink it like a glass of milk. I told the lady I didn’t want that and to instead just get me a couple scoops of ice cream. She was so mad that she slammed my ice cream down on the counter….why would you serve something like that to your customer anyways? My son was fine with keeping his…. Not me, if I wanted a glass of milk I would have asked for one.
Also, the ice cream area was running exceptionally slow. They needed more help over there…not well organized/prioritized with where the service was going.

They are fast not really friendly they seem to all be kinda just there. There was one guy working the grocery part of store that said hello and told me have good day that was more than I can say for any of the other staff. Butt food was great and they got it right first time.

Braum’s has reduced the size of their ice cream Scoops to the point they’re not worth buying. The last two I got were approximately the size of a half dollar. I could have gotten more ice cream for my money had I bought high-end Haagen-Dazs bars.

Braum’s is not as good as it was when I first moved to Oklahoma in 1981. My favorite ice cream flavor is peppermint, and at some point, the hardness of the ice cream itself, the flavor, and the number/quality of candy pieces declined. Cartons of ice cream are also too often too soft and the flavor is not nearly as good. As for cherry limeade, Braum’s is by far the best. Nothing comes close. Fries are usually soggy. Burgers/chicken sandwiches are so-so. Milk still tastes good, but if I can get to a farm for raw milk, I will take it over Braum’s. I always get good service at Braum’s, regardless of location. Cleanliness is usually not a problem. I would give 3 1/2 stars but that is not an option so I decided to be positive and go with 4 hoping someone at Braum’s will read this and put the flavor and firmness back into the ice cream (all flavors).

Awesome stop! I’ve never seen anything quite like this fast food restaurant meets (highly expansive) ice cream & snack market! If you are road tripping I highly recommend making this a stop. I got the 4 cheese burger and a jr chocolate shake. The burger was pretty good and the shake was great!
