Do not order the “scallops”
This place used to be amazing years ago. Went straight downhill. The bam bam shrimp are tiny salad shrimp. I can get better seafood at Popeyes.

I don’t know why I haven’t been to this place lately, it’s been a while n the food is amazing. Like I’ve been missing out, dang my Daddo (Aka Dad) would of love this place. He loved to dine in. I highly recommend this place, it’s clean organized their rating is at % the staff is super friendly. Next time I will post with a picture of the food. I had the baby flounder with fries n greens beans n it was a decent amount of food. Delicioso is wat I call it. Pricing is fair.

I just left here. I went to the take out side and the guy who was there wasn’t friendly at all. I ordered baby flounder, cabbage and green beans. I waited 45 minutes for my food. Everyone before me came and got their food and left. I continue to stand there. The guy at the window finally told me they lost my ticket and it will be 2 more minutes which it wasn’t. I finally got my food and was offered a complimentary cake. But my food was not hot after waiting so long. I will NOT be returning!!!

I have been eating at Capt Stanley’s since Laverne opened. The new owners are letting the food quality suffer. The food tonight was the worst.
If the quality is not good, don’t serve it. Tell the customer you are not satisfied with what you have. Buy quality, serve quality .
Also, please come up with some special dishes at night. Rotate them just like you so at lunch.

I have been going to Captain Stanley’s for years when I would want seafood. My husband and I went tonight and we didnt think the food was as good as it use to be. I woikd have hoped with the new management they would have kept everything the same (food suppliers and how they cook the food). I thought the hushpuppies were a little too greasy, the breading on the shrimp wasnt good either. Slaw was ok. Baked potato was cooked great.
May be time to find a new seafood restaurant.

Great seafood and very fresh ingredients. The food was flavorful, portions were good, and the service was friendly and quick the owner was very polite . Nice atmosphere and fair prices. I’d definitely come back.

The food was fairly tasty until the roach crawled over the table. We let our server know. He apologized, but gave us our check without adjustment. The cashier asked how the food was and my husband told him that it was pretty good until a roach crawled on the table. He told us the total and I said, “You plan on charging us full price?” He went and asked someone and they took off 1/2.

This is some of the best seafood in NC. If you are in the area and like seafood, I highly recommend trying Captain Stanley’s. Look at how white and flaky that fried flounder was, and the shrimp fried to perfection. Thank you for a great experience.
