Very unique one off BBQ joint. Indoor and outdoor seating very nicely done. Very friendly staff. I wanted to get tea in my cup and she took it back and washed it for me. Wow! To top it all off they had Brunswick Stew. For those that fellow me. I’m from Georgia and Virginia BBQ restaurants don’t carry God’s great side. I don’t know why. Anyway worth checking out of.

Ok AMAZING service. Bar tender was taking care of the whole restaurant single-handedly – that guy was awesome. However, that was literally the worst brisket I’ve ever had. Dry, tasted like old roast beef. Pig skins were decent. Price was high. Bench seats were wicked uncomfortable. Too bad, this place used to be one of my go-tos!

The food was amazing! Some of the best barbecue we’ve had since moving here! Everything came out relatively quick and all hot and tasted fresh. Alyssa was amazing! She was very knoweledgeable with the menu, and helped us with our indecisiveness. She did not steer us wrong, she provided excellent suggestions and made sure we finished our meal with a serving of banana pudding which was amazing. Alyssa was friendly and cheerful and just really made our visit spectacular.. we will be back to see her!

Logan was amazing server on the outside patio he was very nice and attentive to our request, the outdoor patio is very calm quiet and not alot of noise for being beside Warwick. Thank you to Logan ,
Update we went again last night 9.14.25 and another gentleman took our table when he didn’t have to due to our server being busy . We really Appreciate him letting us know and being very knowledgeable of the menu, thank you to him and the hostess for being amazing and the staff was wonderful .

Happened to be in NN and was looking for a quick lunch with outdoor seating. We were very lucky to stumble upon Smoke. We were immediately seated in the sunniest section of the patio as requested. It took our server, Na-Na, less than 30 seconds to greet us and take our drink order. Mind you, this was a busy afternoon on a crowded patio. We ordered the mozzarella sticks to start. The cheese pull was impeccable. We also got the nachos and a brisket sandwich. The nachos were fire and the brisket was juicy and piled high. Even if the food wasn’t incredible, which it was, i wouldn’t have been mad because Na-Na was so great. She was super friendly. Attentive, but not overly so. She was so on the ball and just a pleasure to meet. Can not recommend this place enough. I hope to be back in Newport News soon so I have an excuse to go back.

Staff was on point—fast, friendly, and knew the menu like pros. We grabbed a spot outside, and the vibe was perfect. Laid-back, shaded, and yes—our dog got treated like royalty.
We tried the smash burgers and their spicy garlic fries. Unreal. Crispy, juicy, just the right amount of heat. Finished it off with their house-made lemonade, which somehow made everything taste even better.
We’re not even local, but this place just made our “worth the drive” list. Coming back for brunch next time.

Honestly the service was poor. I asked for an iced tea and received it. As the meal took longer than expected (which was ok not disappointed by that) I requested a refill. Three separate times the waiter walked by slapping his head saying “oh I forgot “. On the third time an also ordered dessert a cheesecake. That is when I finally got my refill. The brisket Philly was (look at the picture) overcooked to the point of being burnt.
The cheesecake was the best part of the meal (for $10 a slice it better be good)

This place is great! As soon as I walked in Nana, and Tyler made this experience awesome. The food was great also. Definitely check this place out. Plus they got the NFL package and a ton of TVs .

Approximately 18 of us went here to celebrate a birthday. Our dining experience left something to be desired. They didn’t have quite a few items including brisket, baked potatoes, mozzarella sticks, etc. My sister inquired about the corn muffin, she mentioned they were .70 cents each, we wanted half dozen, she said they were $4.50. You do the math!!! One guest ordered mashed potatoes, they came out so greenish looking, we thought it was broccoli casserole. I order baked potatoes, they brought me out something I literally could not make out what it was, but it was not what I ordered. My pork chop (and another guest)were heavily breaded and overcooked, already dry. I was upset about this. The menu mentions all food and alcohol sales are final. Does this mean they can serve us any kind of crap, and we have to accept it??? Not cool. They substituted my baked potato, that they were out of for corn on the cob. It was blackened like it was street corn, but I didn’t order that nor did it have the items usually on street corn, just really dark grilled marks. Every order of fries came out dark and limp looking, as if the oil needed to be changed/filtered. No one ate theirs. I think it’s ridiculous that you have a mandated 20% gratuity included and you receive substandard and slow service. Our reservation was at 6, we didn’t get out of there til after 8:30. A table of about 12, came in about 20 minutes after us, received food, ate before us and was gone before everyone got their food. This experience has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended) This is my second time visiting this location and neither were enjoyable. Service was slow, food was overcooked, unappealing looking and we absolutely did not feel appreciated.

Food was good, but lacked presentation. Services was slow, waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged after being seated, then she was somewhat attentive there after. Atmosphere was causal and worn.
