By the time they finally got my order right, everyone else at the table had already finished their meals. We ended up paying our bill and leaving, so I didn’t even get the chance to enjoy my food at the restaurant. It really took away from what was supposed to be a special birthday dinner.
What was most disappointing is that with multiple mistakes on the same order, no one offered any kind of discount, apology beyond the basic one, or anything to make up for the inconvenience. We spent over $100 and left feeling pretty let down.
I understand mistakes happen, but when an order is messed up more than once, especially during a birthday celebration, it would have been nice for the restaurant to try to make it right.
My boyfriend and I went to LongHorn in Joplin Missouri for a special date night on Valentines Day, and Brandy made it unforgettable from the moment we sat down. She was warm, attentive, funny, and genuinely caring without ever hovering. She remembered our drink preferences, checked in at just the right times, made great recommendations, and even shared a laugh with us about our excitement over the menu.
She handled everything perfectly – refilling drinks promptly, bringing out fresh bread right away, and making sure we had everything we needed. Brandy truly went above and beyond; she made us feel like VIPs and turned a great meal into an amazing experience. We can’t thank her enough and will definitely ask for her section next time!
Now, onto the food – wow, just wow! We ordered the Outlaw Ribeye (that massive 20 oz bone-in beauty), and it was perfection on a plate. It was seasoned flawlessly with that smoky, savory blend, flame-grilled exactly to our liking (medium-rare for me, and medium for him), and came out incredibly juicy, tender, and full of rich marbling that melted in our mouths. Every bite was bold, flavorful, and downright addictive – hands down one of the best steaks we’ve ever had anywhere!
Our sides were cooked to absolute perfection too. The mashed potatos were creamy and loaded with butter just how i asked them to be, and the mac & cheese was ultra-cheesy and comforting. Everything complemented the steak so well without overpowering it.
And then dessert… YUM! We went with the Chocolate Stampede – (that towering masterpiece of multiple chocolates with vanilla ice cream), and it was the perfect indulgent finish. Rich, decadent, and so satisfying – my boyfriend and I practically fought over the last bite!
Thank you, LongHorn, for an outstanding night – but especially to Brandy P for her phenomenal service. She’s a gem and deserves all the recognition! We’ll be back soon because of her and that incredible Outlaw Ribeye. Keep up the amazing work!
