Blown away by the service. Sorry. But, Colorado has a bad wrap on customer service. This place helps show the good side
We ordered Caesar salads with soy curl, bacon season salad and spicy Mac, none of these tasted good. The salad had this weird taste and smell that I ended up leaving all soy curls aside. The Mac and cheese was the worst – so liquidy and spicy, I hated the bean part in it but that was my fault Cz I didn’t read the menu properly – spicy cheese have jalepeano chilli in it but anyways I can imagine even without chilli the Mac n cheese would have been so runny.
The only one thing I really liked was the tomato soup.
Having all that said this is just my opinion, my taste maybe different than yours. I’m always in support of vegan restaurants so even when i don’t like it, if i am dining there I’m supporting em. But as a reviewer I would always leave my honest opinion.
Brandy was our waitress and she is a freaking goodness! ♀️
Thank you Burrowing Owl for existing
For a Monday evening, the place was lively and full, and right away the vibe felt welcoming. The woman who helped us was incredibly warm and friendly, which set the tone for the whole experience.
Then the food came out and that’s where it really surprised me. This wasn’t the usual vegan approach of throwing plant-based meat on bread and calling it a day. Every dish was creative, thoughtful, and packed with flavor. Nothing felt boring or predictable.
If you like spicy food, don’t skip the green chili. it was fantastic. The crab cakes were excellent and paired really well with the sauce. The loaded nachos had a fun surprise with pieces of potato chips mixed in with the tortilla chips, which somehow worked perfectly. The Philly sandwich was another standout sauteed peppers and onions with queso, rich and satisfying without feeling heavy.
We finished with the vegan bread pudding, and it was the perfect ending to the meal.
What started as a simple dinner choice turned into one of the highlights of our trip. Amazing food, great energy, and a place that clearly puts a lot of thought into what they serve. Would absolutely come back.
