Baris is a true gem in Waco, Texas! From the moment you step in, you’re welcomed by an authentic Italian atmosphere that feels like home. The legacy of recipes passed down from the founder’s mother is evident in every dish. Everything is homemade, from the amazing bread and marinara to the mouthwatering entrees. I highly recommend the pasta sampler, along with the fried mushrooms, the Hawaiian pizza, the tortellini, and the shrimp – each one is a standout! Plus, the restaurant is BYOB, making it even more special. And a big shoutout to Sierra, the waitstaff member, who always goes above and beyond. If you’re in Waco, Baris is a must-visit!

This restaurant brought pure happiness to my husband, and that’s no small feat. He grew up in New York and has spent years searching for authentic Italian food in Texas, but nothing has ever come close… until now. We had the Italian sausage with peppers, Dee’s special, garlic bread topped with tomatoes and cheese, and the olive oil dipping sauce. All were amazing!
Every bite reminded him of home, and the entire experience was enhanced by the incredibly reasonable prices and the warm, friendly service that made us feel at home. We left full, content, and already planning our return. This place is a gem—and will be a must-stop every time we visit our daughter at Baylor.

Found this amazing place on google maps driving thru Waco. OMG…Best lasagna I’ve ever had & my boyfriends spegetti & meatballs were awesome. The senior portions are more than enough & prices are so so reasonable. And you’ve got to order the garlic oil dipping sauce for the bread…incredible! Service was awesome! Love love love this place. Definitely going back there next time I’m in Waco. Wish they had one in Round Rock!

Food was excellent, but getting there and picking it up was another story. Bumper to bumper parking Saturday night, 8 people sitting waiting outside just for a table inside. We were grateful to get in and out with our to go order. Best of both worlds! Interior was nothing special, but the food makes up for it!

We catered Baris for our wedding in the fall and were very excited to treat out guest with an amazing meal. We went to Baris two times to sample the food and it was amazing, however the day of the wedding, the food was disastrous.
ABSOLUTELY NO TASTE. ZERO. NONE. NOTHING. NO TASTE AT ALL.
It was chicken alfredo and it had absolutely no flavor. I was surprised, embarrassed for my guest and disappointed. Many of our guest started asking for salt to try to give it even a hint of flavor. There was so much food left over and NOBODY wanted to take it home.
I contacted Baris about this matter and they only said they could give us a discount on our next catering?? What is this? Does Baris actually think I am going to eat there again after paying THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS and the food having NO TASTE AT ALL!
PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF AND DO NOT ORDER CATERING FROM BARIS.

I walked in for a take-out order on Saturday around 4:30pm and a woman at the front told this young guy I wanted to place an order togo. He came and took my order next to the lady. I asked how big are your bread rolls? She answered and said “it’s like our regular rolls.” I said “I’m sorry I’ve never been here before , it was recommended by a coworker.” The young guy was so nice and helpful, he said “so you’ve never been here before” and gave me recommendations. The young man had great customer service skills and because of that I will be back. Also the food was good.

I’d been wanting Italian food, while passing through Waco I googled Italian food near me and Baris popped up. I had chicken and shrimp Alfredo and my husband had the cannelloni. They were both very tasty. The oil for dipping the bread was really good to. Our server Layla was simply amazing. This is a sweet, quaint, mom and pop restaurant with great service.

I ordered food for takeout and was pleasantly surprised with the generous portions and tasty food. I ordered the Murphy with chicken and shrimp, plus a side of grilled chicken. One thing worth noting, the side of marinated chicken was better than the chicken in the Murphy.
