This is a good find in the middle of nowhere and by the river. It was super close to the white water center and a nice spot. The food was good and reasonably priced. Salad portions are huge. Fries were just ok. The fried shrimp was very good and so was the French dip sandwich. Service was a little slow but not the end of the world. Certainly worth another try

Let me start by saying Kim (the manager) saved the day for us and we will be back because of her.
I called the restaurant asking about patio seating, the person informed me there were tables open and its first come first served. Cool- we got there about 10 min ago and there were about 4 open tables on the patio. I talked to the hostess and she said it didn’t matter who i spoke to, but it would be a 30-35 min wait for inside or outside. I get it probably short staffed so ok. We were put on the wait at 1:31 and got the table is ready text at 2:23. We sit down and then that “closed section” was all seated. A server Jayda walked right passed us and greeted the other 3 tables asking if they have been seen. After 13 minutes- Kim approached us and apologized and got right to it. We got our drinks then ordered and food came out and after that was out in 32 minutes. Ill be honest- we were very upset and ready to not come back but Kim did an excelled job and she is the soul reason we will be back.
I understand that everyone is understaffed but giving accurate information such as tables on patio and wait times are important and given right information saves a lot of headache for not only the waiters/hostess but also the customers.
Again- thank you Kim but taking care of us.

I met the manager Kelsey she came out and spoke with us briefly, we shook hands. My waitress name was Gracie. She was awesome. She helped us in every way possible in ordering our meal.
The pros of this restaurant is the food was great. I ordered the ribs. They literally melted in my mouth. I had the mashed potatoes loaded. They were good I also had a salad and oh my God that salad was freaking awesome!!! The service by Gracie was just excellent. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to wait on us. The restaurant has a nice vibe it has an outside bar overlook the lake.
The cons of this place is not too bad. Seems it needs a good spring cleaning and a few things were broken in the bathroom like the soap dispenser or the paper towel holder was laid down on the countertop. Parking was a little difficult to find.
I would suggest this restaurant for special occasions, or any occasion and I am planning on going back. Give them a try and see what you think.
They do serve alcohol with two bars, one in the inside, and one on the outside deck this place is kid friendly
If it’s your birthday, let them know so you can get the special birthday dessert

Fantastic spot on the river. Menu was not overwhelming but full of great options. Wife ordered a salad that took her two days to finish . Excellent service and atmosphere. Looking forward to going back. The glazed croissants are a nice touch reminds me of a restaurant that I used to frequent as a kid.

Nice, Comfortable waterside restaurant. It is definitely out of the way. You drive through a neighborhood to get there. The food is good and the drinks are really tasty too. I recommend the Pomegranate Martini!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at JR Cash Bar and Grill in Mt. Holly, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! The food was nothing short of amazing, and the cocktails were even better. Each dish was crafted with care and bursting with flavor.
The atmosphere was delightful, especially with the beautiful lake view, which added a serene touch to our dinner.
The service was outstanding, with Kelsey, the manager, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and that we had everything we needed. Lauren, one of the bartenders, mixed the perfect margaritas—definitely a highlight of the evening! Though I can’t recall the name of the other bartender, she was equally fantastic.
I highly recommend JR Cash Bar and Grill for anyone looking for a great meal and a fabulous cocktail!!

We had takeout from here a week ago and it was so good we had to come back and try it fresh. And man… this food is next-level! The honey butter croissants were incredibly buttery, soft, and perfectly sweet — they almost melt in your mouth. The hot lava shrimp had the perfect balance of heat and crunch, super bold and definitely worth the kick.
I ordered the Cash’s Burger and it was insanely juicy, packed with flavor, and cooked to perfection.
If y’all want a memorable, delicious, and satisfying dinner experience, I highly recommend J.R. Cash’s.

Great food, perfect outdoor patio to sit on with an excellent view of the Catawba River. We had lunch during our visit. Immaculate caesar salad, and if you’re a fan of loaded potato soup, this is one you can’t miss! The staff was also very welcoming and kind. Definitely would come back for a frozen drink and try something else on the menu. Graci was an amazing server and I would definitely ask to sit with her in her section again!

We were in Mt Holly on Saturday for the day and came upon this gem of a restaurant! Great experience from the start! We sat at a table that overlooked the Marina! Our server was upbeat and welcoming! Our salad with the main course was large, fresh and delish! Fish platter was tasty and the portions were plentiful, enough for lunch the next day! Pair that with a glass or two of white wine and you’ve had yourself a nice night! Def try this place if you haven’t already!! Five stars!
