First visit but will definitely return. Enjoyed seats at the bar on a Monday evening. Bam Bam Shrimp appetizer, Sautéed Scallop Platter, Fried Flounder Platter, Key Lime Pie were delicious. Staff was great. Recommended and discussed many of the local crafters. Also an outside cabana area with live music.

Delicious blueberry cosmo to start! Appetizer was the lobster ravioli with red sauce, nicely done. Dinner was the lobster pasta loaded with seafood, lobster, shrimp, mussels, class, etc. with pappardelle pasta. Thought the sauce was a bit heavy but it tasted delicious. Friendly place would definitely recommend!

Relaxing restaurant with mellow local atmosphere and people. Jaime was our fantastic server and provide some great recommendations including the calamari which was different than most which created the most tender version I have ever had, so highly recommended. Hubby and o had wonderful food it my ribeye was a bit tough although cooked medium.

Was crazy busy so it was hard for our server to stay on top of things though he really made up for it with his witty and fun personality. I had a huge group too, so try to keep that in perspective. Though we were here for over 2 hours. The drinks were good and based on server recommendation, I went with the lobster pot pie which was INCREDIBLE. I had several other items I had planned to get this not being one but he sold me on it and I dont not regret it one bit. I tried other dishes, like the grilled grouper, and cobia. Both were solid but something about the pot pie was just spot on. Had several desserts for the table, really enjoyed the peanut butter pie. Still thinking about it!

We had a fantastic dinner here with excellent food and service. Our waiter Sully was patient, charismatic and helpful. We ordered two soups, the chowder and she crab (we preferred the she crab). For entrees we had the lobster pot pie, huge portion and unreal in the best way. Also the Chilean sea bass with risotto which was a little salty but cook on the fish was absolutely perfect. We would totally return again since there is so many great things on the menu.

Drove here to try my first Lowcountry boil, and it was really good! We added crab, which ended up being my favorite part. The portion was plenty for two, and definitely worth the price. The service was nice, and the restaurant has a casual, relaxed, kitschy seafood vibe that makes it fun to dig in. The homemade key lime pie was sooo limey and delicious — a must-order!

The freshest shrimp and oysters in town! Plus the lobster pot pie=Exquisite! The only negative is that sometimes when you’re sitting outside they allow smokers to be too close to the area where you are eating.

I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed Hot Fish Club. We’ve been coming here for years, and we just arrived at the beach a couple of days ago, and we both chose this as our first seafood meal of the visit. We often come during odd times, because we do maintenance on a condo down here in the off-season. So we will come in December etc. And it’s so nice to just be here with the locals and not have a long wait. But every once in a while, we have the opportunity to come here during the actual high season, and of course there’s a long wait, but you can grab a drink from the bar nearby. But here’s the secret: this is one of the few places in Murrells Inlet that faces the water that allows you to make reservations! So you’re not waiting for two hours if you make reservations in advance. It’s usually just 10 minutes or so before your table is ready. That’s quite a triumph!

During our recent visit, my husband had the Caesar salad with fried oysters, and of course, we shared Bam bam shrimp as an appetizer; I had the Seabass, because I love Seabass, but I regret it, because I forgot how fresh the oysters and shrimp were. I should’ve just had those. The Seabass was good, but I can get that anywhere. Our server brought our food out quickly, because we told her we had an evening reservation for an event.
Also, don’t skip on the cocktails; my Mezcal old-fashioned was very reasonably priced.

In the last few years, my family has stumbled upon the Hot Fish Club and it has become a regular part of our vacation dinner spots. Luckily, my wife and I were able to go twice while being in town this summer.

With Hot Fish being a hot spot for both visitors and locals, it is best to reserve a table in advanced. We reserved our tables two weeks prior to our vacation. In the past, my wife and I have walked in and decided to sit at the bar and the food, atmosphere and service is still top notch.

Since we have been coming for a while, we have collectively tried a good amount of food off their menu (sushi, specials, apps, wine, you name it) and it is all excellent. Considering our most recent trips, 7/9 and 7/16, collectively my wife and I got entrees off of their specials menu and were blown away by the quality and portion. As far as apps go, you can’t go wrong with the Korean fried chicken and the crab & shrimp pinwheels.

Another favorite is the fried creek shrimp platter. I don’t know what they do to it but oh man, I dream about the next time we can get there so I can order more!

Overall, Hot Fish is worth the wait or week long plan ahead for a table. I have yet to utilize their Gazebo so I can’t speak to that, but I am sure I would enjoy it knowing the product they produce. If you’re seated in the dining room, enjoy the view of the inlet from just about every table.

We made our reservation for the wrong day but they were able to accommodate. Thank goodness because this place is DELICIOUS!
Shout out to Bradley, he was such a professional.

We ordered:
Fried Grouper bites: cooked with a light breading, not crispy but cooked perfectly. Comes with a spicy aoli 9.7/10

She crab soup: very creamy, sweet, heavy on the butter but it was excellent. Crab was flavorful and definitely present. 9.2/10

Lobster pot pie: heavy helpings of meat, creamy, comfort food, crust was fluffy/flaky. Large portion. 9.4/10

Blackened Grouper/lobster risotto: phenomenal, the risotto and sweet tomatoes and spinach were perfect with the grouper. I love grouper and often I feel like it’s missing flavor. This was packed with flavor! 10/10

Char grilled Cobia: I can handle heat and this had heat but it didn’t take away from the dish, again the fish was cooked perfectly, great flavor, very fresh with the jasmine rice and veggies underneath. Spicy peppers on top made the dish unique and not overboard. Very big filet. 9.6/10

Blackened Mahi/grits (old style): this was absent the cream sauce which made the flavor of the dish more distinct with out distraction of basing everything in cream. More natural flavor. I don’t like grits. This is the best grits I’ve ever had I am not a fan of grits at all. 9.6/10

The helpings were generous, and the shrimp and lobster were observed in the sides. I wish we had room for dessert because this place knocked it out of the park. Not overly expensive (about $30 dishes) and the vibes were classy, dark, pier/boardwalk.

I know the ratings seem high but they are warranted, I’m fussy. I would 100% recommend.
