One of the restaurants open late night off the beach front Waikiki strip connected to the Hilton hotels. We were staying at the Hale Koa and their restaurants were closed after 830pm so this was one that was open later. Some people late night come for just drinks by the beach, and there’s sometimes live music too. We go there upon closing for dinner. My parents wanted coffee to drink, so they brewed a fresh batch for them. I asked what the most popular salad is and it’s their Chicken Cobb Salad which was very hearty with ingredients and it lasted me 2 meals. My dad got the fresh catch of the day sandwich which came with fries. My mom got the vegetable chow fun which had too many fresh green onions on top of it, wouldn’t recommend getting that one. Overall it’s a nice area and has a decent amount of menu items and a little bit pricey. Service was quick and efficient since they were about to close. Hilton has a parking garage is you’re out in this area.

The location next to the beach is definitely nice and convenient. Unfortunately, the food was bland and quite oily, with very little flavor overall the grapes ended up being the highlight. If you’re staying at the hotel it’s fine when you don’t have many other options, especially since it’s quick and easy. The space is large, so it works well for big groups. Otherwise, I’d probably explore other nearby spots first.

This was one of my favourite restaurants in Honolulu. I had the brisket which was absolutely amazing. Very tender and the sauce was sweet. The Hawaiian light beer was also good. We sat outside and enjoy the sound of the ocean. Many food options including burgers, fish and meat dishes. They also had options for local fish. The staff was also more than friendly. Highly recommended.

This 5/5 review is solely for our server and bartender who treated us like ohana! Food here is okay but pricey for what it is, and there are definitely better options elsewhere. That said, if you’re in a pinch or don’t feel like leaving the hotel, it works. We came here twice during our stay and had great service from our bartender, Henry. We ordered the poke, wings, and fries—I’d pass on the poke, but the wings and fries were a hit. Solid bar food overall if you’re into that, but otherwise I’d recommend eating elsewhere.

Tropics Bar & Grill – Hilton Hawaiian Village (Breakfasts)
Review:
Tropics Bar & Grill delivered some of the best breakfasts of our entire trip. The menu is thoughtfully designed around fresh, tropical, and wholesome ingredients, making it exceptionally easy to eat both deliciously and health-consciously. From vibrant fruit plates to balanced breakfast options, every meal felt light, energizing, and nourishing — the perfect way to begin each day of exploration and ocean activities. The open-air setting, ocean breeze, and relaxed island atmosphere further elevated the experience, making breakfast here not just a meal, but a daily wellness ritual. Highly recommended for travelers who prioritize both flavor and health.

We had a larger group and they accommodated is fully! The receptionist was polite and sat us despite only half the group was ready. We had Ramfis as our server and hands down one of the very best I’ve ever had! Attentive, polite and truly the definition of service! The food was tasty and the view was amazing!

Nice menu, servers were friendly, hosts could have been friendlier.
We enjoyed our drinks, and food. Restaurant was clean, and had plenty of seating. The patio was very nice to be out on.
We have done two meals in the restaurant (one breakfast and one dinner), even did a breakfast pickup, the potatoes are REALLY good. Avocado toast was fine, a little too much sauce vs avocado for me.
The menu has a good amount of options, and I’d have no problem returning to try more options.

This is a cute spot. I was able to make it to the happy hour and I thought the size of the food was good. They have a singer sometimes while eating outside and it’s a good vibe. It’s right by the Hilton Hawaiian village.

We were staying at the hotel, and decided to try it for breakfast. It is extremely expensive and I don’t care much for breakfast, so I ordered just a “side” of the Portuguese fried rice ($13). I have to say, I love being able to get fried rice for breakfast. The view was beautiful, and we brought our Starbucks in from next door.
