Being in Rockwall for just a week and fresh off a long drive, I wanted something close to my hotel and not too heavy. A good burger sounded perfect, so I decided to try Culpepper Cattle Co.
From the moment I walked in, Josie and Faith at the front desk were incredibly welcoming. They answered all my questions and made me feel right at home — great first impression. I placed a to-go order, so I didn’t get the full dine-in experience, but while waiting I stepped out on the deck and caught a beautiful sunset. The outdoor area is spacious and inviting, though being close to the highway, I could see how it might get a bit loud during busy hours.
I went with the Steakhouse Burger, which was really good — juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Josie and Faith both recommended the Smash Burger, so I might have to try that one next time. The fries were decent, but I have a feeling the full experience of dining in would make it even better.
All in all, Culpepper Cattle Co. delivered exactly what I needed: great service, solid food, and a relaxing atmosphere to unwind after a long day.

We had the best dinner ever. The portions were huge and the steak was amazing. My husband and I shared the 24 ounce porterhouse steak. It was so thick and juicy, just amazing. Our waiter was really nice and kind. The atmosphere was also great. They had live music that night, and it was just right. Not too loud not too overwhelming, but perfect. Honestly, I can’t wait to go back again. This time I want to try brunch.

We had such a wonderful experience at Culpepper in Rockwall, thanks to our amazing waitress, Ashley! From the moment we sat down, she made us feel so welcome and taken care of. She was friendly, attentive, and had the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. Ashley made great recommendations from the menu, kept our drinks full without us ever having to ask, and checked in just the right amount.
It’s clear she truly enjoys what she does — her positive energy added so much to our evening. The food was delicious as always, but Ashley’s service made the whole experience exceptional. We’ll definitely be asking for her next time we come in!

This was the most overpriced and underwhelming steak experience I’ve had in recent memory. We ordered the porterhouse for 2 and it was a terrible cut, lots of gristle. The steak was undercooked and had zero flavor. The mac and cheese was sold as the best side and it also had no flavor and the cheese tasted like boxed mac. We wished we had gone down the street to Texas Roadhouse but thought we’d try something different. We won’t be back. Service was friendly and attentive, but that didn’t make up for the underwhelming food.

If they had 10 stars I would select them all! The service was the best I’ve ever had, Joseph was amazing. Each staff member made my mother’s birthday trip one of the best. We came on a Friday for the $10 fajitas and they were amazing! The firecracker shrimp was delicious, we had to order them again. Our waiter Joseph suggested the monkey bread dessert for my mother’s birthday dessert and, my sisters and I all raved about it for the rest of the day! Shaina was a great manager, she came and checked on us 15 minutes after we set down. There was another waitress who was helping Joseph and she was so kind! I could go on and on, but I pray I’m able to go back one day!

Awesome brunch buffet! So many awesome options. Very crowded but they do a good job of getting you taken care of. Recommend making reservations for sure. Our server Ashley was amazing. Super kind and nice and prompt. She had an amazing attitude even though we have multiple requests. She was also very knowledgeable about the menu and services offered.
The omelette station was tremendous and my mom says the Mimosa was “strong”. We will for sure make this part of our after church rotation. And hopefully Ashely is our server! She is a valuable asset with amazing Godly energy.

Lets start with the service…Delpha was absolutely great. She was very attentive & nice. The all you can eat brunch had a variety & was good. The salmon was my favorite! The mimosas excellent.. The ladies enjoyed all of it. Thank you for a great first experience! I highly recommend Culpepper’s in Rockwall!!!!

This is the first time I have ever left a review but I would be remiss if I didn’t warn people about spending a lot of money for what at best was mediocre food and service.
We have passed this restaurant many times and decided to take my family out for dinner to celebrate my daughters birthday. The atmosphere was unremarkable and we were seated quickly because we had reservations. We ordered a sampler of their appetizers and they were horrible! Overcooked and totally bland. I have eaten way better food that I cooked in a microwave. The main course was even more disappointing for the price we paid.
I would not recommend eating here unless you want bad food at a high price. There is a Saltgrass across the freeway that would be a much better choice!

Yesterday evening my husband and I visited Culpeppers in Rockwall. We enjoy Culpeppers and frequently visit for a special treat to ourselves. Payton, our waitress promptly attended to all of our needs. The food was excellent, as always. My husband and I left satisfied. Thank you to Payton and the floor manager (sorry did not get a name) for providing great service.
