A clean coastal approach to Mexican food, serving a variety of tacos ranging from the classics to the re-imagined. Also featured are fresh salads, ceviches and mexican specialties, offered as small and larger plates with a variety of fish and grilled proteins that can be combined with freshly made salsas and homemade guacamole. Along with hand curated agave spirits, the full bar also serves innovative Aguas Frescas which are encouraged to be spiked with your favorite spirit. All can be enjoyed on the beautiful patio where you can watch the sunset and enjoy the ocean view.

We were seated promptly outside. The server was really good and even the manager. The food was so fresh I had the shrimp tacos my husband had the chicken tacos. Then two margaritas on margarita Day. Our new place when visiting Santa Monica.

The best time to be at Blue Plate Taco is at night, in my opinion. Cos the view is scenic – the lights, the ambience, everything feels aesthetically pleasing. I came here with my friend and had Chicken tacos with guacamole and chips. I guess I was just taken by the ambience and forgot to take pictures of my meal before delving into it

We stopped here because it was recommended by an Apple employee. I always view Apple employees as like, really smart for some reason. You just believe what they say, you know?
Anyway, we went for lunch and were able to be seated right away. The staff was super friendly, and I also thought our waiter was super handsome. I didn’t get his name, though. I’m a dude, and I just recognize when another man is handsome, he looks like he has his life together kind of thing.
The food was great as well. Just a little expensive, but I understand that’s how food is around here. We got the Queso Fundito, which was really tasty. I just wish there was more of it; it was kind of a small serving for $19. We also got shrimp tacos, which were pretty good as well. I got the IPA on tap, which was great.
In the end, if I’m in the area, I’m coming back. Great service, decent food for the price, atmosphere was a little loud, but still talkable.

I stopped by blue plate taco for a quick lunch and to handle some business calls away from the office. My server Kellen was so kind! He brought such great energy and recommended an amazing appetizer (the taquitos) and the watermelon Red Bull vodka margarita was incredible. Such great service and it was nice having a server that was so sincere, knowledgeable and kind. A++++ food and service! 🙂

What a great dinner! And the best waiter ever! Marcelino! Found some great guacamole, salsa verde to die for and carnitas tacos are bomb! Ended with tres leche cake and cheese cake so good. I give this place 5 stars!!! Thanks Marcelino!!!

The location is great and service is friendly, however bit too busy to get attention when needed. Food was mediocre; some decent, some bad. I feel like they don’t do a great job at balancing when food is ready to be served as a whole. While fajitas were sizzling hot, some of our other orders like enchiladas and tacos were lukewarm and very soggy. I rather get my dish early if they plan on letting it sit there until it becomes a wet goo. For the location, food is alright but as a local, I probably would not recommend or frequent.

We got chicken taco combos and steak bowl and a Jamaica. Tacos were really good, the Mexican rice is brown rice which was a little different. Jamaica is a must try. The place is pretty lively and lit.

Hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. The food was soooo fresh & flavorful, and the service was amazing. We ordered a variety of different tacos to try. In my opinion the steak taco was the best but they were all incredibly tasty. And the ginger mojito was to die for!! So good!

Service was friendly and fast, atmosphere was cool and the drinks looked good. And pricing was pretty decent considering the amount of food/location…. but sorry to say the food wasn’t that good. I couldn’t even stomach finishing my tacos, they just didn’t taste right. The rice was also kind of hard.

I love love love the food here. I ordered the veg bowl, and it’s really goooood. The truffle oil wasn’t too strong and didn’t kill the overall flavour. Portion is good, value for money, toilet is clean, everything is good.
I’m gonna to miss the food when I go back home! See yall next time!
