Came here to have a late dinner after my baby & I arrived in town. I ordered her the salmon & a breakfast plate for myself. We got our food & the salmon was not cooked thoroughly. I informed the waitress to which she herself looked at it & said gross. She sent it back & then I told her I would just have the taters & green beans. So she informed the cook to cancel the salmon. She came back & told her to tell me that he cooked it to the temperature he was taught to cook it. I told her to tell him that the temperature they taught him to cook it at was obviously not correct. She sent the message back. Waitress came back said, “the cook wants to know if you know Spanish?????” I said no. I don’t know why he asked that. Maybe he wanted to further our conversation about how he thought serving raw fish to a 1-year-old would be ok because it was “at the temperature he was taught”

My girlfriend and I stopped by for dinner before our boat ride for Christmas on the pesos. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The food was good. Ther service was great. I dont remember our servers name. She was a young redhead with her hair on a ponytail. She was very nice! Great service!

I was visiting the area and stopped here. While service was ok the food was not. I waited over 45 minutes after ordering for food and once delivered it was extremely greasy. The waitress was constantly apologizing to patrons about the food and the time it was taking. Everyone has a bad day I’m sure. But after this experience I would not return to this establishment. There are serious issues that need to be addressed before folks can expect the level of service and quality of food seen at other locations around the country.

Walked in and had to wait 20 minutes to get seated even though most of the tables were empty. Once we got seated we ordered and got our food within 20 minutes. Second bite in, I found a hair in my food. I don’t get grossed out easily so I took it out and continued eating…. Until an actual roach ran across our table!!! We called to the waiter who caught the bug, and was very apologetic. We asked to speak to the manager who had us sit at another table. She explained that we were sitting at the table nearest the door, and that this has happened to multiple customers. Understandable but still gross. We finished our food and received a 50% discount. Shoutout to our waiter who was obviously new and in training. He handled the situation very well and moved really fast to catch the dang thing and help us get the situation resolved! Overall the staff was really great and nice about a situation that wasn’t their fault.

Took 25 minutes for us to get our food. The waitress did an okay job. The place only had like 3 tables of people. Music was a bit loud. We ordered French toast combos but both of our French toast was definitely NOT cooked all the way. The meat was all burnt and we didn’t feel like wasting time to reorder it again. Service was slow and again wasnt that many people in there at all. Waitress did her best but she only came by like every 15 minutes or so. So, yeah. We weren’t digging it. Won’t be coming back here for sure

Came here for the free short stack of pancakes on National Pancake Day and they would not honor the promotion unless I bought something else. The terms of the promotion clearly stated that no purchase was necessary. The atmosphere also looked very depressing. Stay away!

The waitress working at 3ish on Sunday Feb 1, 2026 is refusing to give people service. Kept us waiting knowing she wasn’t gonna work. The host was nice but the actual waitress im charge of tables should probably get fired if this business wants to succeed. We left and other families were forced to leave to.

I normally don’t do this but this place is the worst service I have ever seen in my entire life employees pass by and ignore you. Restaurant is half empty and it took 45 minutes to sit this down. Don’t understand it and it makes me sad because Carlsbad New Mexico needs more restaurants but with this kind of service no thank you

Ok so Halloween night we go in get seated and ordered. The waitress is brand new like started the day before and is just all but lost. Apparently her and the cook are the only ones here and more people come in. Then more and then a good size group and she is completely overwhelmed with no clue about the menu or the restaurant, and and has no help at all. About an hour later we get our food and it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t the way we would have liked it or said we wanted it. Lol The waitress deserves a big bonus and raise for her efforts and the owner should close or hire some help. So all in all this place is not somewhere I will be going back to I don’t think. I’m sure it will be out of business before long anyway so …
