So nice had to do it twice! So I made a reservation for Valentine’s Day. I didn’t realize until I arrived that this used to be Mackenzie’s. As an Cheyney grad and former Chester County employee I’ve been there countless times. Wasn’t aware of the Crown tavern until now. Anyway we were greeted warmly and seated within 1 minute of arriving. Service was amazing and the atmosphere is right up my alley. It was super crowded but not loud if that makes sense. Our food was A1. We had the crab cakes and the steak frites. Ordered a Tullamore Dew on the rocks and the pour was generous to say the least. Ended the night with one of the best espresso martinis I’ve ever tasted. Fast forward to this morning we stopped by and realized they had brunch. The brunch menu is $21 and includes a mimosa, Bloody Mary or a beer. You literally cannot find that anywhere as far as I know. Debbie and the young lady at the bar (hate that I didn’t get her name) were amazing and I assured them that this is officially our new spot going forward. Well worth the short drive from Wilmington. Do yourself a favor and check them out! You won’t be disappointed!

Food and drinks were delicious! We order the S’mores martini and Old Fashioned. Crispy Rice Tuna Sushi, Beets & Burrata salad for appetizers. Miso Glazed Scallops with bacon risotto, and Steak Frites. Michael D. was our server and he was very attentive. He was personable and had a smile on the entire time with us. We’ll definitely be back.

All of the servers are lovely. But we personally ask for the superstar herself, Allyson. If you know, you know. She is attentive, kind, funny and just fabulous with showing customers that she cares about our experience.
The atmosphere is cozy and the food is delish. Honestly, anything we order hits every time. Crown Tavern is a gem — great energy, great service, great food. We’ll absolutely keep coming back ✨

Easily the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Side dishes are amazingly delicious as well. Some “simple” dishes may be more difficult to master but the food and atmosphere at this place is fantastic.
We also had Woodstock Pub Pie and its big chunks of meat was very satisfying with perfect ratio of potatoes, cheese and veggies.
The service is very nice, friendly and professional.

The Crown Tavern in Glen Mills is a great spot if you’re looking for elevated pub fare with a nice atmosphere. The food was very good—standouts for me were the fried Brussels sprouts, the steak fries poutine topped with tender braised short rib, and the wings. All of these were delicious and offered as part of their happy hour menu, which I really appreciated. Unlike many places that give you just a handful of happy hour options, The Crown Tavern has a generous selection to choose from, making it well worth it.
The cocktails were fine—classic choices like a Cosmo, mojito, and lemon drop. They were decent, though nothing particularly inventive, but still solid staples that any bartender should deliver well. For dessert, I tried the sticky toffee pudding. It was good, but felt like it was missing that final wow factor—something like a bourbon caramel sauce would really elevate it.
The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, capturing the charm of an elevated English pub, and the service was attentive throughout. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and definitely worth a visit.

The food, drinks, and service were all excellent here! The poutine appetizer was outstanding and delicious. I got a curry entree, and it was so flavorful – possibly even better than curries that I’ve had at Indian restaurants. And I got a spicy margarita, and it was really good and strong!! The food was on point, and so was the service, and we had a pretty large table. Great place overall and definitely recommend it.

Jess K was a superstar waitress. We came for our anniversary and couldn’t have received better service. Such yummy food – Sunday roast prime rib was delish! We also had the wedge, the English onion soup, and the tuna udon. All incredible!

Beautiful establishment, but hospitality is definitely lacking. With 3 bodies at the host desk, it should not take over 5 minutes to be acknowledged. A smile and a “hello I will be with you momentarily” would have been appropriate instead of trying to avoid eye contact with potential guests coming in the door. This was my first impression of the establishment and likely my last. They were fully booked for the evening. I would’ve been willing to wait for a seat at the bar had the staff been warm and welcoming. Hospitality is key especially on a first impression. Disappointed since this establishment is so close to my home.

This was our first experience here. From the time we walked in the door until we left it was awesome. The food and ambience was great for our weekly dates. Our waitress Emma C was so accommodating and friendly. She spoke highly of her job, the place and the food. Which all were highly rated and it was amazing. Give Emma C a shout out when you come in.
