The restaurant serves fresh food. The pizza was good and the seafood salad was nice. The pasta was too oily for our tastes.

The servers are friendly and attentive.

My review might not be very actual but at least got 4/5 minimum.

Cause past few days i’m been eating local food that really really really not suit me. Hahhahaha

I had lunch here once and take out once. The food is so good. Real authentic Italian food. We enjoyed every bite. And the take out was also very good. The prices are higher compared to other places in Marrakech. It’s nearer to one would call European prices. The place looks neat inside. They had part of the kitchen open where they bake the pizzas. Which is a real plus. And the staff, well what can I say they were really friendly and super professional. When you walk past this place you won’t suspect anyone sitting inside but each time I walked past it was packed to the brim. If you really want to be sure you have a table my advice would be to put in a reservation. As I was waiting for my pizzas to be baked I was waiting outside and there were new people wanting a table every few minutes. Some got turned down as it was full. I would definitely come back here when we visit the city again.

We had lunch at Mamma Mia during our stay in Marrakech, and it was absolutely fantastic! Tucked away in the lively Gueliz district, this spot is the perfect escape when you need a break from tagines and want authentic Italian comfort food .

Food: Everything was fresh and full of flavor. My pasta was perfectly al dente and the pizza had that deliciously crisp, brick-oven crust. Do not skip dessert—the tiramisu is genuinely heavenly and a highlight of the meal .

Service & Vibe: The staff were friendly, attentive, and gave us a genuinely warm welcome. The restaurant has a cozy, trattoria-style charm with a fun Italian-American twist—spot the Goodfellas poster on the wall! . Despite being busy on a Saturday night, we were seated quickly and the buzz added to the experience .

Value: Portions are generous and prices are very reasonable. With a half bottle of Moroccan wine and two courses, it felt like great value for the quality .

If you are craving Italian in Marrakech, Mamma Mia is a hidden gem that delivers consistently. We liked it so much we went back twice!

As a national licensed tour guide I Highly recommend it

At first it looks like a tourist trap nestled in the heart of Gueliz, but it has actually been a true point of reference for Italian food among the people of Marrakech. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes, and it’s definitely a great spot for lunch in the city.

Great atmosphere – great service.
Busy on a Saturday night, but we were seated quickly.
They’ll bring you bread and olives to start.
To kick it up a notch all for the spicy olive oil to dip your bread in!
Went for the off-menu combo of gnocchi and arrabiata sauce. The sauce was not quite as hot as I’d like, but good.
Overall a solid meal and a nice find here to take a break from the traditional.

I mean it is not really authentic Italian food. All their pastas are made with bechamel sauce, same with the carbonara. Pasta is cooked al dente which was good. If you want a change in cuisine when you are visiting Marrakech, sure go there, but do not expect real Italian pasta.
Most dishes were underseasoned. The bread and olives that you get are good.
The staff is nice and accommodating, you get the food quickly as well.
