This is our first time visiting this establishment and it will not be our last. I personally got the Low & Slow burger with the sauce on the side. I did taste it and was not a fan but my daughter enjoyed it. The reason that I did not give five stars on food is because the fries could have been cooked a little longer. They were too soft. My husband enjoyed his burger which was the El Camino and my daughter liked her pops burger. Very welcoming location and can’t wait to visit again when it is warmer to sit outside.

Had the Pop’s burger combo. Not too many places ask how you want your burger done. Next time I’ll try the double because the single seemed small to be considered a quarter pound burger. Other than being a small patty, the burger was well done, the bun excellent as we’re the burger toppings. The fries were plentiful, seasoned well, just a bit limp. The drink, standard for a fast food joint. The reason I dropped the Food to 4 stars was the quarter pound patty was not up to an almost $12 combo value in my opinion. Service was pretty good for Saturday diner time, granted it became very crowded just after I ordered. The atmosphere inside was pretty noisy, outside a bit trashed, need a gopher to clean up. Again, the burger was tasty, just not enough meat. Cheers.

The woman who took my order was nice.
The place wasn’t busy at all.
The Strawberry shake was delicious.
I order a cheeseburger and onion rings.
I asked for extra mustard and pickles on my burger and they slopped a jar of pickles and a bottle of mustard around 2 lukewarm, unseasoned, dry patties. Completely sogged the untoasted buns out. The mess in the picture is the mustard and pickles I had to scrape off.
The onion rings would’ve been good but they were lukewarm too.

$21 and I can name at least 10 places immediately turning out a better product.

Made a stop here heading towards Corpus Christi from Dallas. Service was excellent at the atmosphere how that old school feel. I got the Tank Burger that has two 6.5 oz patties with cheese and bacon added and a side onion rings. The burger had excellent flavor and definitely filling. However, my biggest gripe was that the bun was falling apart. I would’ve preferred if they used a brioche or potato bun instead. It was a great alternative over your typical fast food burger chain. Highly recommended and will make a stop again.

I was not really impressed with pop’s. The burgers were dry even though we ordered them cooked medium. The chicken sandwich was the best option of our order. They were out of onion rings.

I’m a self proclaimed burger snob and i rate burgers harshly when not done correctly. My all time favorite burger joint was Alamo Springs burgers in Fredericksburg Texas (now out of business) second favorite was grill’em all burgers in Alhambra, CA. With the demise of Alamo Springs, Grill’em all went to first. And the only other burger joint that I’ve ever rated 10/10 across the board. There’s some dang fine burger joints in the dfw like Liberty Burger, La Burger, etc but they all lack in some areas. Today while working in Waxahatchie, i saw this place and had to try. First the atmosphere: 10/10. Loved the old style motif and the smells.. You know a good burger is a high probability. Next service: the waitress, cook and register person were all great 10/10. Finally what counts, the burger. I ordered my standard bacon cheese burger with jalapenos and my folks shared a regular cheese burger. I got fries and they got onion rings. My burger was a SOLID 9.5. only reason not a 10 is because i prefer smash burgers. If you like them think, you’ll probably give this a10/10. The fries, hand cut 10/10, perfect. My folks tasted their burger a 10/10 and their onion rings (onion strings really) a 9/10. Prices were very reasonable and there’s lots of choices. This is the highest score I’ve given a burger joint in Texas other than Alamo springs… It’s that dang good. Toasted buns, shredded veggies, grilled jalapenos, perfect. Quite honestly, i work all over the country and every corner of Texas and have tried burgers in them all. In Texas, this is definitely top two of not the best I’ve tried. If you like burgers, this place doesn’t disappoint! Highly highly recommended!

Burgers are fresh and made to order! Fries are hand/fresh cut. I’m not sure if the chicken tenders were pre-made & frozen. But expect a little wait for fresh food. My order was correct and delicious! I could barely stop eating the fries. The only thing missing were fry seasons.
My kids were happy with the tenders! One wasn’t a fan of the chocolate shake, but it did look yummy!
Atmosphere… not the shiny bright diner of yester-year (not a complaint at all). Diner feel? Yes! Booths and those cute formica tables. But also the decor was a hodgepodge of pieces picked up here and there.
There’s no wait to be seated – just order at the counter!

My family enjoys Pop’s. It’s your homestyle, retro joint that takes you back in time to when real people served real food. The cashier is always friendly and kind, and I’ve never had a bad experience with the food.
Only thing I would say is to give yourself extra time. This is not a “fast food” restaurant. You will wait at least 20 minutes most of the time to receive your meal—sometimes closer to an hour when they’re slammed. I typically call my order in half an hour before I’m ready to pick up, and it’s typically ready around the time I walk in (give or take a couple minutes). If you’re planning on a sit down meal with good friends and good conversation, it’s a jovial atmosphere. Just don’t swing by when you need a “quick” bite. Enjoy all the memorabilia on the walls while you wait.

Not great. Fries were soggy, burger was smashed and soggy because of grease and too much condiments. You could get a better burger at Wataburger. Really suprised at how horrible it was.

Its a nice little mom and pop shop. The burgers are AMAZING, seasoned good have a nice little char and taste homemade. The only critique would be to have the fries a little more crispy.
