My husband and I ordered a medium hamburger and a Cuban. The burger was well done so I returned it and the second time it was well done. The Cuban tasted weird. It was spicy and didn’t have a lot of meat. The manager came over to ask us how it was and we told him. He kind of scoffed at us and said that was a traditional Cuban and walked away.Won’t go back here again. we tipped the waiter well because he didn’t do anything wrong.

While on vacation, we decided to check out Gecko’s Grill & Pub for a late dinner. The restaurant was extremely clean. We decided to sit outside, which turned out to be a great decision! They have plenty of fans that circulated the air, so it was comfortable, even though the air temperature was in the high 80s. The food menu is quite extensive. It was hard to make a decision! The food was fabulous! We will definitely visit again in the future!

We had a very disappointing experience at Geckos. We called three separate times within 15 minutes of our expected arrival to confirm seating for our family of seven. Each time, we were given the impression that accommodations would not be an issue. However, when we arrived, no one had made arrangements for us, and the staff did not make any effort to help find or create seating.
For a party of our size, clear communication and basic hospitality go a long way, and unfortunately, neither was demonstrated. The lack of organization and customer service made what should have been an enjoyable outing extremely frustrating. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this restaurant to families or larger groups expecting reliability or attentive service.

Love going to Gecko’s! We have now dined at three of their locations, but our closest one is Stickney Point.
Alysa was a wonderful waitress. The two managers working checked in on us twice to make sure we were happy. And the staff is always like this when we dine at any of their locations. Appreciate that!
This night my wife got the Chicken Frisco and loved it. I tried a new menu item, 1/2 Crispy Chicken Dinner. Oh my goodness was it AWESOME! Highly recommend the new menu items.
Outstanding service. Management that cares about customer and supports the staff. And quality food each time we have dined in!
Tables and booths at the Stickney Point need to be replaced with some new ones. Chairs are not comfortable. Booths are way too tight.

I have traveled to Sarasota from Minnesota over several years and have always enjoyed Geckos. Tonight a waitress named Chelsea was the worst bartender/waitress I have EVER encountered in my entire life of 71 years. She ignored our table and when I asked her to take our order she snapped at me and walked away and went behind the bar. The table next to us was astounded and flabbergasted at Chelsea’s atrocious behavior toward us. They looked over at us and shook their heads and said, “She’s ALWAYS a cold fish”. We then had two managers come over to talk to us about her behavior. We did get our bill taken care of, but the dining experience was deplorable at best due to Chelsea’s attitude and unprofessionalism. We could not even relax and have the enjoyable dinner that we came for because of Chelsea’s continued bad behavior toward us the rest of the evening. The management had to assign a different server to us because Chelsea refused to wait on us. Oh, and by the way, this is NOT the first incident of this ilk with Chelsea. The proof that this is not the first incident is that the other tables next to us was keenly aware of Chelsea’s bad reputation and inappropriate behavior toward customers. This woman needs a severe refresher course in customer service or a different career path, such as a jailer or a parole officer. And that would be really stretching it. We love this restaurant but have to consider never returning.

I can be very critical about restaurant service, but I have to give credit for the outstanding service we received from our serve Taylor. Truly the best experience, drinks are always filled, attentive but not crowding. Orders are accurate and she seems to be having a great evening! Look forward to our next dinner at Gecko’s and hope we have Taylor as our server again. Ribs and Chicken taco always great.

Our favorite Gecko’s location. Huge covered outdoor bar. Good selection of wines. Love the special football menu. Especially the Detroit grinder. And one of the best patty melts in the area. Always great service and great food. Highly recommended.
