We were very pleased with our experience at Blue Bay Seafood. Their customer service was excellent start to finish and so was the food. The food portions are reasonable. I thoroughly enjoyed the broiled salmon & friend flounder. 9/10 highly recommended!

Overall, we had a good dining experience. While I feel the quality of the whole broiled flounder served wasn’t as good as some of the other dining options in the area, everything else was delicious. We’ll try it again next time we’re in the area.

Excellent experience. My mom got the $9.99 Sunday founder platter. Two huge portions of perfectly cooked flounder. Baked sweet potato was delicious. I got whole bone in salt and pepper catfish, calabash shrimp and fresh hand breaded fried okra. All cooked perfectly, served with attention and a smile. Large portions that won’t hurt your wallet!

We ate at Blue Bay Seafood restaurant for a Sunday lunch. It was busy but we didn’t have to wait. It was my birthday and they said they offer a complimentary cheesecake and their staff comes and sings one of the popular happy birthday songs. Our waitress was a wonderful friendly young lady (I didn’t remember her name) but her smile and hospitality made a great impression! In terms of food the fish seemed to be fresh and cooked well. However, I didn’t like the potato wedges at all, not crispy not tasty but my friend got a baked potato and it was perfectly delicious!

The food was delicious…all of it. The service was great and the place was very clean. I had salt and pepper catfish, baby shrimp with a sweet potato and cole slaw. My wife had salt and pepper Alaskan whiting, baby shrimp, stuffed crab, a sweet potato, and cole slaw. They also give you a bowl of hushpuppies, which is some of the best around. Be sure to ask for seasoning. Otherwise, they don’t season the fish.

I really hate writing this review but I must share. My family and I stopped in to grab dinner after a long day. We were greeted promptly and everyone was very nice and friendly. We ordered and patiently waited. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. However, as soon as the waitress put the food on the table TWO roaches crawled from the window seal and made a mad dash towards the table. We were totally grossed out and quietly alerted the waitress, declined the food, promptly exited. Our appetites were totally ruined for the evening.

We have been going to Blue Bay for 30ish years and we still love it! The food is very good. The service is always top notch, and the atmosphere is always peaceful and relaxing. We went to celebrate three birthdays that fall in the same week of September across three generations and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Thank you to all of the staff and especially our waitress for a great meal and great service!

Best seafood in Spartanburg. Fresh food, great service and casual atmosphere. Visit here on a weekly basis. Prices are very reasonable. Dare is the best waitress I have had there.

We were seated immediately for “Date Night”.
For someone who doesn’t typically dine out, for health reasons, it took about 45 minutes from seating, to receive our food.
However, Ms. Emma, our waitress was EXCELLENT!
My husband’s whole flounder; cooked to perfection!
My perch was also cooked to perfection!
Baked potatoes were overcooked but still eatable.
Okra was seasoned and cooked well too!
Hushpuppies, oh, gosh! Delicious!!!
And last, Emma made our Arnold Palmers on point for each refill!
