Reviews
The first time was a Friday evening around 7pm. The appetizers were fine. The porterhouse had one side cooked medium rare like we asked but the thicker side was blue. So not a great cook on the steak, at a steakhouse. We wanted to try the fried chicken so we decided to go back again and give it another shot.
This second time was a Tuesday around 7pm, the bartender was even more absent. I forgot to mention both times the bar was dirty and people had “just left”. A man next to us got a very overcooked steak and it took them 30 minutes to refire it. The couple on the other side of us ordered and were also still waiting for their dinner after 30 minutes. And the restaurant looked dead. So we decided to leave after our appetizer. It felt like we were not going to have a good experience based on what we were seeing.
We decided to order the fried chicken sandwich and chicken tenders to go at 1pm on Thursday. I got a side salad with the order and when I got home and put it on a plate, I saw all these bad, moldy pieces of lettuce (pictured). The fried chicken tenders were just not good. In some spots they were way too salty and in others there was no seasoning at all. They had tough pieces in them also, like they weren’t cleaned correctly and I had to spit it out. The Mac n cheese was horribly dry. Like there wasn’t any sauce on it, and then there was a ton of breadcrumbs on top which was so unnecessary. They charged $17 for the tenders, Mac, and salad and pretty much all of it was inedible.
So we’ve given this place 3 chances. One was adequate but nothing to write home about and the others were a fail. The food quality is abysmal for a steakhouse and the service staff seem really overworked and unable to keep up with everything. We never once saw a manager checking on anything or anyone.
I like that it’s not over the top Texas cowboy. It’s a nice steakhouse with great service and food and they were very accommodating of large party.
Restaurant management also knows what they’re doing; my meal took too long and they apologized and then made it right by giving me the meal for free. It’s is a smart manager that knows great service will bring people back.
The pork chops were great, the grilled shrimp, an I’m told they make a great steak as well.
And the bad (which strongly overshadows the good)… Service was horrible. Our waiter asked us ONCE if we were ok. Never refilled our drinks, took forever to bring horseradish for the steak, and was slow to bring the check. By the time the horseradish showed up, the steak was cold.
The atmosphere was ok. But it was obvious who was getting helped and who had to wait to get help.
If it was just a food review, it would have been good. But the waiter kind of ruined the experience. Not sure if we’re going back.
We leave to the restroom for about 5 minutes and return to the table being cleaned…. It took everything in me not to cry. They already tossed all our food. My kids were devastated. We had literally 1-2 bites before a bathroom break.
They did offer to remake the food but it was best if we just left. Why would i want to stay? Not sure why they decided to clear the table- maybe because im black they thought we ran out on the bill. Whatever. They offered 25% off the ticket which it could have at least been 50% given more than 50% was wasted…. I didn’t make a big deal i just wanted to gtfo
My husband said his food was tasty, my chopped steak needed seasoning, but it was prepared the way I ordered it.
Thank you Mr. Travis to you and your TEAM for a GREAT EXPERIENCE ON 12/01/2025.
