I will give this place a 5 stars just because of the Casino Steak Sauce. I love to cook, so the experience is a fun experience BUT…be careful. The rocks are super hot and you could get burned. Was a nice touch with the sparkler in all great for birthday. Our server…bless her heart did amazing job even though they are shortstaffed. I love her salad and they have the best brussels sprouts I’m so glad they bought those back to the menu.

First time visiting Black Rock. And honestly after living here for about 6 years. I wish I had tried this place sooner. The mouth feels!
We tried the lobster dip with pita chips, Alfredo pasta, steak and kielbasa with asparagus and frys, and cup of lobster bisque.
The lobster dip was just amazing, flavorful, cheesy. Lobster bisque cheesy and smooth with spiced croutons. The 6oz sirloin was was delicious, the steak butter and I’m guessing is a peppercorn sauce or similar to was just WoW. I couldn’t finish the sausage, but I tried abit on the black rock and it was good.
It was dead when we arrived except for a handful of people at the bar. Took awhile to be seated, I almost wondered if they were the type of place to close mid day and only be open for lunch and dinner. But that wasn’t the case. Otherwise great food, decently good service and atmosphere depending on when you go.

Got here right before prime time for dinner so there was plenty of seating and we were able to be helped right away. Our waitress did an amazing job and even as things started to pick up a little bit she was still able to be stay very attentive and made sure to get us everything we needed throughout the whole visit. Super cool place I had no idea what to expect but man am I glad I tried the place out! For sure recommend you check the place out if you haven’t I know I’ll be back!

My first time going, and the food was amazing!
I had made reservations for 2:45pm on 10-23-22. When me and my wife arrived,we were told that there will be a 20 min wait for our table. Didn’t like that at all, but I was patient enough to wait. I received the text message, saying the table was ready, cool.

So we go back in, and was immediately seated to our tables. Our waitress (Devon)was so cool, and made sure we had everything we needed. She even show us how to cook on the black rock, since it was our first time. Overall, the drinks were amazing, the food was delicious. I had a really great time. I will be going back.

When you decide to go to Black Rock, you go for the experience. I love the atmosphere here. It’s sounds crowded and busy but the booths are high enough to give each individual or party their own special place. Customer service was really good though they can come off as a bit bothersome with the frequency of check ups.

Cooking the steak was a real treat. Seeing it steam on the plate was really cool. They inform first timers of how long you should keep the steak on the rock that cooks as well as give you a bit of some history on the establishment and how the rock works.

Overall, I enjoyed myself. The prices are about what you expect from a steakhouse and their other food look from my wandering eyes looked just as good. Great place to bring a group and to treat yourself.

My reasoning for giving 3 stars is because of the seating, we were celebrating my aunt’s 70th birthday and there were 14 of us and we had to sit in different booths when there was clearly open seating across from where we were that would have made our dining experience much better for all of us, and we did have a reservation and we’re were clearly there before other large parties showed up that had reservations, the manager on duty, told me it was because we had not LEFT A $140.00 Deposit $10 per person, but when we made the reservation she said it was not necessary? If we would have known that leaving a deposit would have assured us that we would all be sitting together were we could enjoy each other’s company with my 70 year old aunt that is on dialysis and is in poor health, surely we would have left a deposit!

My wife and I had heard about how delicious the experience at Black Rock was but had never gone. We were not disappointed, the quality of the food was top notch and we enjoyed every bite. A little pricier than some of our other favorite dining location, but will certainly come back to enjoy on occasion. Oh… and our hats off to the Chef(s). [That would be Us]

My colleague and I went to dinner here on a Thursday evening, around 6:30 pm. This was our first experience at the Black Rock chain of restaurants. While the thought of cooking your own meal on a searing hot rock at your table may be a bit intimidating to some, this seemed intriguing to my friend and me, so, we decided to give it a try. Upon entering the restaurant, there is a great aroma from the sizzling steaks at many tables. We knew then we were in for a treat. Our server was friendly and helpful, fully explaining the process and how to navigate through the menu. Not all items are served ready to cook on the rock, and if we didn’t want to try out the rock, we could have our entree’s cooked in their kitchen. We opted for filet steaks, to be cooked at our table. The starter salads were fresh and crisp. Then the main event was brought to the table. I ordered a side of shrimp scampi that were already prepared, but placed in their ceramic container on one corner of the 750 degree rock to keep warm. My side of asparagus was already cooked, too. However, the filet was brought out raw and placed onto the rock. Sides of seasoned butter and steak sauce were placed on the table accordingly. I proceeded to drizzle with the seasoned butter and cook my filet to the perfect condition. We throughly enjoyed the experience. The prices were reasonable, too. My total bill for iced tea and the steak/shrimp dinner was under $30.

I can’t get enough of this place.

Even as the novelty of using a(n) 800 degrees stone cook’s off, I continue to return to be enveloped by the primal aromatic atmosphere that arises from the happy patrons as they partake in their own grilling experiences.

You will be hard pressed to locate such high-quality cuts of meat outside of knowing the local Butcher, much less having them served to you at such an amazing price. The same cuts seem to go from anywhere from ten to twenty dollars more at a similar steak house.

Along with a rotation of specials you can easily find something interesting to try each visit. I always tend to order the Burgundy Mushrooms if you like fungus, you will not be disappointed. They are soaked all day and come out to the table on their own rock. Bubbling, sizzling and juicer then they have any right to be.

The bar has over 30 drafts on tap along with mixed drinks specials and the accompany of cold bottles of beer. I go for the what the staff recommend most of the and they do not disappoint.

The staff seem to also go out of their way to ensure that you’re having the best experience each time. Never have I felt rushed or talked down to when they explained how to the stones as it can be a tricky process getting your food the way you wanted it.

If you can, try and get seated in Beth’s section. You’ll most likely find me there on any given weekend.

Which is the core of the hook here. Your food will be cooked exactly how you want it each time. As you are your own chef.
