As a business owner, I took my employees to dine at your establishment at their request. Upon making our plates, every one of us had to immediately spit out the food because it was ice-cold and clearly not being held at a safe serving temperature. This is a serious food-safety and health-code concern, and based on what we experienced, the health department needs to be notified immediately.

Atmosphere is decent very clean. Service not so great. While getting another plate our table was completely cleared and were responded to rudely as we asked for our drinks and utensils back. The food was dry, hard, and barely warm… the desserts were the same other than the cakes they were decently well as well as the fruit. The avocado in the sushi was old and tasted horrible as well as the sushi was warm…. Was hoping for a decent meal and left very disappointed.

I have such a low bar for Chinese food I really do. Like until today, I’ve liked every Chinese place I’ve ever been to. I was hopeful, despite bad reviews, that this place would be good. Bloomington has harsh food critics in the Google review sections so I wanted to give this place a chance. Let me just say, if your best entree is straight up green beans, you might need to reevaluate some recipes. The food was pretty much all cold just like all the reviews warned me about. I was even here at 6:30 on a Friday when you’d think they’d be pushing fresh food out. All the food tasted the same and had a weird flavor. I’m so sorry I just cannot recommend this place to anyone. The second star is only there because of the green beans. I’ve had better microwaveable Chinese food.

The day we went was during memorial weekend. The front house girl was on her phone , did no intend customers, , confused in why we left. Looked around hardly any customers inside. Saw people going around in circles looking at the buffet food. There were hardly any food out. Few pieces of green beans, hardly any food out. This was prime time dinner time at 5. Everything should be refresh at early dinner time. Nothing was refresh. Everything empty and dry. One side hot booth was closed. Very disappointing, especially I’m in food service. Did not refill any food. Put us in a booth next to the kitchen where they bring food out. Sushi guy just standing there and hardly any rolls out on plate. I don’t mind paying for $17 for dinner and $3 drink and plus tip not included. I decided to tell my friend and daughter lets go this is ridiculous. Other customers heard, the boys agreed. I had never walked out like that before but that was ridiculous. I been in food industry , to charge customers when everything is up, we should at least get good service in return. Another friend from work went there for her husband birthday. She said she will not go there again . I will not be going back.

We went to Mr. Hibachi for lunch. There are not many choices for Chinese buffets in Bloomington, and this is the biggest one. The food is okay. There are definitely better choices of restaurants in a town, but not if you want a buffet. The waitresses are friendly and the service is good. It is a little bit on the expensive side for what you get.

Food is okay! The reason I gave 3 stars is there are no tags about the dish atleast it would have been great if they mentioned it’s chicken or pork or something. Personally I eat only chicken and seafood. It has been tough time for me to identify what that dish might be and avoided dishes that are hard to guess. There dish shrimp and rolled in bacon , I had not guess it correctly I would have eaten it assuming it’s a breaded shrimp. It would be a great place for people who would love to try all kinds of meats.
There are many options in desserts. But the fruits slices are so huge that you can take just one piece of melon and fulfill your dessert appetite.i couldn’t try few fruits as they are so huge and might end up wasted. The sushi are okay. Few chicken items are too dry. But the fried chicken is amazing. There are so many option for you to try.

The sushi was warm! That’s not ok. There was barely anything in the serving trays and what was there had been there for hours already. Staff was hardly seen. Nothing tasted right! Spent $35 for basically nothing! Do not eat here. I even told the staff and they still charged me

Most of the food was good. Some too salty and cold. And we went as soon as they opened so the stuffed mushrooms should not have been cold. We still enjoyed ourselves, mine a my husband’s first time being there. It’s big and a large variety of foods. We will most likely go back but China star is still better.

We went to this restaurant on Christmas evening. It was very crowded and there was actually a line that stretched outside the door when we arrived but our wait for a table was surprisingly short.
The food was good, except some of the desserts were a bit disappointing. In general, the variety of foods seemed to be aimed at making sure everyone could find something they would enjoy, even if some members of a party weren’t super fans of Asian food.
We were at the restaurant relatively late in the evening. The staff had been working very hard all day and even the youngest members of the staff looked a bit tired but they still provided good service and were very friendly.

Sadly, this chinese buffet is not what it used to be. In my experience, the last 3-4 times that we have visited the service was terrible and the food is so disgusting that I wonder if our local department of health is even doing its job. The buffet is absolutely gross and you will probably feel like you are eating cold food out of a dumpster. They used to have a decent little sushi bar, but I have taken bites of old sushi that made me spit up. You won’t want to watch the kitchen staff switch out the buffet trays, trust me. We are definitely done.
