West Coast wines complement American takes on steaks, chops & seafood in a simple woody setting.

Not too bad of a spot
Location is good with plenty to walk to and browse
Food was good. The meat was a bit “salty”
But still flavorful
Drinks were decent. Had to have my whiskey sour made again. But second time around it was delicious
Plenty of menu items to choose from

Met a good old friend for a special dinner. Town doesn’t do reservations, so I was curious what a Monday at 6:00pm would be like. It was a rare warm February Monday on a full moon night, we got a table outside. The heat lamps were on. Our waiter was like *magic.* Literally. We ordered the BLT wedge salad to share. The waiter asked if we wanted it chopped for easier sharing, we said YES. Then we ordered our mains: filet of beef and porterhouse. Before our waiter even left the table with our order, the chopped BLT wedge was served. It was honestly like *magic* and we are still in awe about how that even happened, even now IDK. I had the baseball cut of filet (pictured) and it was absolutely flawless. I am always embarrassed to ask for it medium-well because I know I’m not supposed to do that. But the waiter smiled when I did and when it came out it was absolute perfection. A nice clean piece of meat done exactly how I like it, WELL. Town is my favorite local steakhouse now, even better than The Sundance Mine Company in Palo Alto. I highly recommend it. We didn’t have room for dessert, but if the Not Your Grandma’s Cheesecake came in the mason jar container to go I would’ve done it. No questions asked. What a fun time!

I have been waiting to return to Town for a while and I finally went for lunch. Beautiful decor and service was great! We did not have a reservation and wanted to sit indoors because it was chilly, so we sat at the bar. I had not been back to Town in years and so I came with a veteran and she ordered. My only addition was the mushroom soup. Everything tasted okay. Sushi roll was not my favorite. The soup was good, but basic. The crispy chicken sandwich was not crispy. The highlight was the New Orleans BBQ Shrimp. It was good to come back and check out this very popular local restaurant. Check it out to see if you like it more than I did.

Great place. Great food. Great service. Had the cheesy garlic bread, prime rib, teriyaki skirt steak, bread pudding. Our server Jessica was fantastic, shared honest opinion about a plate we were considering, happily took care of one small issue we had with our order. Arrived about 6pm, had a 45 minute wait at the bar. Everything, everyone was great.

I recently had a business lunch at Town restaurant in San Carlos on a Wednesday. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, we managed to secure a table without much hassle. The service was exceptional, and the food truly stood out with generous portion sizes.
We started with a selection of appetizers to share, including the Philly Steak Spring Rolls, Town Super Rolls, and New Orleans BBQ Shrimp—all were absolutely delicious. For my main course, I opted for the Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, as I prefer white fish, and it did not disappoint. The server had recommended the Roasted Salmon, which I might try on my next visit.
Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience with great service and flavorful dishes. Highly recommend for both business and casual meals!

Came here for lunch with our clients. Been here many times and have always received great service and excellent food. The wait-staff made our dining experience outstanding. They were super friendly, joked with us and very attentive. They made sure our food came out hot and timely, and our drinks replenished. For appetizers we ordered the tomato & burrata and French fries. I had the warm Napa Cabbage Chicken Salad which they’re known for and it was delicious. The chicken was tender, and the cabbage was warm and al dente. Everyone’s dishes were plated like a work of art. We ended our meal with raspberry sorbet and a warm chocolate brownie (everyone’s favorite!)

French Dip, chocolate cake, fogerabourit
all on point. They even brought us Serrano peppers, and that honestly clinched the deal for me. Creamy horseradish, good French roll, medium-cooked beef, so good.
If I’m being picky, I like my French dip greasy, salty, and a little fatty. This one was a bit too “clean” for me but it was real good.
Service was perfect, and the place is, as always, really nice.

Always solid and a good variety of options in their menu. They were busy and gave us two free appetizers because of our wait which was nice. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Food was very good as always, but the miso Sea bass was a bit sweet for my wife’s liking.

Really good overall. However, I would order my steak one level of doneness less than I typically do at other restaurants if I were to come back . My “medium” steak looked more like medium well and another “medium well” looked like well done. They did offer to give me a new one but I could tell the waiter wasn’t happy about it and I didn’t want to wait for a new steak while the rest of our group already had their food. We loved the drinks, the food was still tasty, and I do feel like the steaks are a pretty good deal since they come with sides.

Listen to me, I am a food snob… this place is amazing, just come and try it. I have been several times and everything is great. If you like sweets, OMG the bread pudding. You won’t be disappointed.
