Ulysses Folkhouse is an irish pub situated between the historic Stone street and Pearl street in the financial district. We host live music in our Music Room and late night DJs play weds thru saturday til close. We offer a generous selection of craft beers including the perfect pint of Guinness, an impressive variety of whiskey and cocktails made to order. Our kitchen serves up fresh oysters, Lobster Mondays, weekend brunch and pub grub. Outdoor seating is available for the three seasons on Stone street, serving food & drink till close. Ulysses is open every day of the year since 2003.
Relaxed tavern for beers & sandwiches, plus live bands, DJs & tables on the cobblestoned sidewalk.

We did not complain or escalate the situation; we only followed up after waiting for a long time. The staff member who took our order (female staff member with a bob cut hairstyle) did not apologize, and when we asked about the delay, her response was brief and dismissive, simply saying that the food was being prepared in the kitchen. There was no reassurance, accountability, or effort to handle the delay, despite the waiting time being excessive for such a simple item.
In contrast, Diana and Willy handled the situation in a completely different and professional way. They approached us themselves, apologized sincerely, and showed genuine care. They even removed the nachos from the bill, even though the delay was not caused by them.
Their professionalism and attitude made a clear difference and deserve recognition
I ordered a drink that was terribly made and after one sip asked if it could be remade or swapped for something else. The bartender refused and told me I would need to purchase another drink. Completely unacceptable customer service.
On top of that, they charge $20 just to see the live music.
I will never be coming back. Terrible service and an awful overall experience.
You don’t just grab a drink when Simon’s behind the bar — you end up staying all night.
Ulysses’ is iconic.
Simon is the reason you come back.
