Had a wait time of 25 min. Finally seated waited 15 min to get our drinks. Ordered, waited another 25 min for food. Garlic Bread was rock hard. Never got a refill. Asked for the check and 2 to go cups. He brought back 1 cup. Thanks!

We use to eat here at the Palatka Florida Sonny’s all of the time. I decided that I wanted a grilled hamburger with the sweet BBQ sauce and a baked sweet potato. So I ordered it through Door Dash. My hamburger was mostly burnt. No BBQ sauce. Nothing on the bun such as mayo, mustard, ketchup. The bun wasn’t even toasted. The piece of lettuce was wilted. All I could taste was burnt meat as if I was eating the charcoal. And my sweet potato, well it was MIA. Door Dash did give me a $25 credit, but that doesn’t take the nasty burnt flavor left in my mouth or fix my hunger. I don’t think that I can trust them again.

I ordered my food online. I picked my order up in about 15 minutes after ordering. I was greeted by a very courteous and friendly server. When I arrived at my home 10 minutes later I enjoyed an excellent steakburger and my wife enjoyed a pulled chicken sandwich. Both were prepared just right. I would highly recommend Sonny’s BBQ in Palatka.

Had a 4 meat combo meal to go. Paid the extra upcharge for the brisket pieces. At least half of the brisket pieces were actually large chunks of pure fat, no meat on them at all. Many of the other pieces were full of gristle that was so tough it wasn’t edible. Ended up with just a tiny amount of brisket meat…and I paid extra for that! Also did not get the bread that was supposed to be part of the meal. Very disappointed in the quality of the brisket.

Food always hot, fresh and tasty. We were served by Grace. The manager pitmaster Janet always is so nice. She runs a fantastic pit. The brisket was incredible. Ribs were cooked perfectly and the chicken juicy. I always asked if Janet is there. I finally gave my bbq grill away after the consistently full flavored smoky bbq Janet produces. This place is our go to place when we visit palatka. Best bbq in Florida.

Seated quickly, service quick and on point and food was very good. Our server was very friendly and good. Stopped in after a showcase game at St. John’s River College. Can house teams, but call ahead they have notes on door that they are short staffed
