We went to this restaurant on a Saturday during crawfish season and it was PACKED. We ended up waiting an hour to get a table and it was outside. It was cool out so no worries, and they have fans blowing. I did feel a bit uncomfortable sitting at a table eating while the huge line of people waiting for their table were lined up behind us Kinda awkward. Having said all of that, the food was delicious! The crawfish was seasoned perfectly and so was all the fixens. I didn’t like their remoulade sauce, tho It tasted weird.
We went back the following Tuesday and it was packed even then! They do have the best prices at the moment so.. Also, the servers were friendly and very attentive. Be prepared to wait a while during crawfish season.

Food was amazing, and priced just right! Shrimp tacos were loaded with shrimp. The shrimp and spinach egg rolls were yummy too! Service was best we’ve had in town! Light country music playing in the background at the perfect level. Overall warm inviting experience! We will be back!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. We all know how expensive seafood has gotten, but Salvos gives you the most bang for your buck with all you can eat platters and a large assortment of local and imported seafood to pick from. From gumbo to frog legs and oysters to blue crabs, if you love seafood, this is the place for you! Great service, good prices and AMAZING food! If you happen to be ANYWHERE close I fully recommend stopping in and grabbing a bite and a beer and enjoying one of Louisiana’s best seafood restaurants, Salvo’s!

Absolutely delicious. There wasn’t one thing we didn’t like. Even the bread pudding with rum sauce to go was great. Couldn’t try the soft shell shrimp because of the all you can eat rule (not even for this birthday girl ). But my husband said they were delicous and they just kept getting bigger and bigger.

Everything was amazing, full of flavor with the right amount of spice. For better words, everything was on point. I loved it, and I can see why it gets pretty packed here. I have been here years ago and decided to stop by once again because of the experience I had years ago. I was not disappointed. They are still just as great as they were then, maybe even better. It has a very chill and laid-back atmosphere with awesome customer service. We loved Ari and Chasity. They were patient, kind, friendly, helpful, and they always had a smile on their face. I definitely will be returning whenever I visit NOLA and bring my friends to enjoy their food.

What an absolutely lovely place top to bottom. The food was fantastic, especially the seafood boil. The fried seafood was also great, highly reccomend the gator. $1 oysters on Tuesdays that were large, fresh, and tasty. They had great specials of two for one beers and $18 for all you can eat fried shrimp, I would be coming back for that a lot if I lived here.

The service here was first class. My drink never went empty, and my server anticipated every need, so that I didn’t have to ask for anything, like lemon or cocktail. The boiled shrimp had great flavor, but were overcooked. The seafood potato is the way to go. That thing was full of cheese. I was surprised by how much crab meat was in it. The onion rings were perfect and obviously made in house, not something from a Sysco truck. I do feel like you should get more of them for the price. The coleslaw was great. It wasn’t wet or overdressed. For desert, I would just get the bread pudding. The egg roll bread pudding was hard to chew. Also, I think that cooking it a second time ruined the texture of the filling. It was somewhat pasty. It’s definitely the one thing to pass on.

We’re visiting from Kentucky, and Salvo’s Seafood in Belle Chasse, Louisiana, was an absolute gem! The cozy atmosphere made us feel right at home, and while we didn’t sit on the patio, it looked like a great spot to enjoy a meal.

Our waitress, April, was amazing! She was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond—she even taught us how to eat crawfish, which made the experience even more fun and authentic.

The food was outstanding, and the prices were fantastic. The fried mushrooms were a must-try—crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was fresh and cooked perfectly.

If you’re in the area and looking for incredible seafood, great service, and a welcoming vibe, Salvo’s is the place to go. Five stars all around! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Louisiana!
