The Hayden was fantastic! This was our first time here and Anna S made the whole visit amazing! She was so funny and super sweet. Very precise with our order. We tried several different drinks, the pretzel , bagel and lox, key lime pie. The portions were crazy generous and the food was delicious! I will absolutely be back! Make your reservations with Anna. She’ll make your whole visit!

Overall it was a pretty good restaurant – we were seated right away and the waitress came right over. The menu selection was very good and varied. I had the salmon burger with fries and my husband had the two eggs, bacon and home fried potatoes with a pancake. We were both happy with our meals. I would definitely recommend the restaurant.
If you’re paying with cash – check your receipt to make sure that you are not charged for using a credit card, the fee will be slightly higher. Our waitress charged us for using a credit card when we paid cash.

*two issues below* This was my first time eating here and everything I had tasted very good. I got the biscuits and gravy and the biscuit was big and fluffy and the eggs were cooked to the desired consistency. I really liked they offered a single specialty pancake, so we shared it at the table. I got the apple pancake and it was very tasty and a fluffy pancake. My two things are not deal breakers just an awareness notice. I found quarter of an eggshell in the middle of the plate between the B&G and potatoes. I put it to the side and made the waitress aware and stated I didn’t want anything in return as the meal was still very delicious. My other thing is about word choice and customer awareness. I asked for a coffee and the waitress asked if I wanted creamer and I said yes (no notification of a 49cent charge). At the end when I received the bill I saw the charge, but it was the words heavy cream that actually made my eyes wide. I can tolerate creamer or half and half, but not heavy cream as a lactose intolerant person. I made the waitress aware that in the future to say heavy cream, instead of creamer so customers are made aware of what they are adding into their coffee. All in all it was still a lovely experience and definitely a place that should be frequented.

The Hayden was such a cozy and welcoming dinner spot. Dariel, our waitress, was fantastic. I started with a refreshing paloma and enjoyed the soup of the day—delicious roast beef stew with rice. I opted for the Ted Danson sandwich, while my husband chose the hearty meatloaf with chicken noodle soup. To finish our meal on a sweet note, we shared a heavenly banana foster cheesecake with a peanut truffle twist—absolutely delicious!

We chose the Hayden pretty much at random because the wife was getting hangry, but it ended up being an excellent choice! She had the Matso Ball soup and a pastrami sandwich on rye. She enjoyed the soup (had never had it before) and said it was the best pastrami sandwich she had ever had. I had the fish and chips and both were very good.

We Love the Hayden! First time eating here and it lived up to the great reviews. The vibe is super chill and laid back, we loved the decor too. We were seated quickly and had a great server. There were 2 of us, and we both ordered the special, which is a half sandwich with a side soup or salad. I had a great chicken salad sandwich, super tasty with bits of celery and grapes . I chose the roasted tomato soup that had a wonderful depth of flavor, and there was a generous portion of rustic potato chips with a hint of vinegar. Every bite was wonderful. My friend had the Ted Danson and a salad with a citrus vinaigrette, she raved about her lunch as well. We also had brussel sprouts for an app. That was the only ding to a perfect lunch as this super tasty dish came out with the lunch, not before. But honestly, if that’s the only ding to a meal, you don’t have a complaint!
It’s so rare to find a place that lives up to its reviews and The Hayden does just that!

Came to Hayden’s for a bite to eat today. The food was great. Nice fluffy and crisp pancake, delicious chicken and waffle, and the Matzo Soup hit the spot as it was quite chilly today. However it seems this restaurant is really busy and the kitchen and staff can’t keep up with the influx of customers. We waited a while for our order to be taken and for our food to come out. We saw another party be seated after us, had their food delivered before us, but asked to have it packed away as it took so long and had another arrangement afterwards. Our server was very nice but a bit too busy to handle all the tables all at once. Good food but the wait was just too long.
