This was the first time we came into Brazilian restaurant. We just need to sit in our table, take some salad and rice inside, and wait for the waiter to offer us some of their selected meats. They will cut some portion for us to enjoy. Most of the meats were good. I love their chicken hearts and tenderloin. They were marinated with good spices.

We celebrated my friend’s birthday here today and everything was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious, full of authentic Brazilian flavors, and beautifully prepared. Every dish tasted fresh and made with so much care. we truly loved it!
The service was just as amazing as the food. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. They really helped make the celebration even more special.

We had a terrific dining experience due to the staff’s hospitality, quality of food, presentation and really just made to feel welcome like you were visiting their home. And the Samba dancers – so good! And the caipirinha flight, amazing. Highly recommend.

I honestly don’t see how there’s any bad reviews about this place. The Rio Brazilian Restaurant was the perfect spot to stop by at for my birthday. What a fun vibe they bring to Vancouver !!! I wish I had gone years ago. The star of the experience was the meat—perfectly cooked to a medium-rare, juicy, and full of flavor. Exactly how I like it. The service was impeccable; the staff really know how to make you feel special. When they brought out a slice of cake for my birthday, the dancers even came over to take a picture with me—a delightful touch! The buffet was delicious, and the salad bar perks rounded out a truly indulgent meal. The owner’s warmth and friendliness made the experience even more special. I felt like I was on a mini-vacation to Brazil. Can’t wait to return tonight! What a fun experience wow I actually felt like I was on vacation or a cruise. The prices are also so reasonable for what you are getting. Top notch. What’s to hate? You get more than most restaurants at a great price! Highly recommend

We have been going to the coquitlam location for years and were in Vancouver over the weekend and decided to give them a try! we are so glad we did. the hostess Rayssa was so friendly and warm sat us right up. we enjoyed the fresh salads and the amazing seafood rice that we love!
The meats starting coming fast and perfectly cooked. shout out to the boys. the pineapple was amazing just as we remember. the top sirloin and chicken bacon were perfect.
Overall we are glad to see that Rio is amazing everywhere.

I had lunch at Rio restaurant in downtown Vancouver. The staff were polite and friendly, which made for a welcoming atmosphere. However, the lunch menu had less variety compared to the dinner options, which start at 5 PM.
Most of the steaks were quite salty, and I found the table and plate sizes to be smaller than expected. Additionally, there were no mashed potatoes or mushroom sauce—both of which are must-haves for a proper steak experience.
Despite these issues, I plan to return for dinner to try the brisket, as it’s only available in the evening.

An absolutely outstanding dining experience! My family and I came here to celebrate my birthday and I had a blast! Danielle was a phenomenal server, she delivered an amazing service and she’s funny. She truly made sure I had a wonderful birthday, super friendly and we loved the Samba dance performance. The service was beyond amazing—our servers were incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of. The meats were cooked to perfection, each bite more flavorful than the last. If you love great food and top-tier hospitality, this is the place to be! I now want to visit Brazil because of this restaurant. Will for sure come back with friends!

Hello, yesterday we had a reservation for 7 people at 8:30 pm. Upon arrival, we were well attended to, but as the minutes passed, we had no food on our plates, the salad bar was almost empty, and when we asked if it would be refilled, the answer was no. 20 minutes after our arrival, we were served the first bite of meat, and then almost another 15 minutes for the second. After that, things improved, but of the 12 cuts promised, we only received 4.

The floors were dirty, the windows were covered in bird droppings, and the women’s washroom was in terrible condition: it smelled awful, the toilets were filthy, and one stall door was literally hanging off. Even the counter and sink had visible dirt and hair, which is incredibly off-putting in any food establishment.
The salad bar was especially alarming. The food looked and tasted off, and I genuinely felt like I might get sick if I ate it. It gave the impression that unused food is simply kept and served again the next day. The meat I tried had a strong, metallic taste—like blood—and I couldn’t continue eating it. I’ve attached a photo of the plate I had. Just looking at it made me lose my appetite.
We dine out often and are generally open-minded, but this was unfortunately the worst dining experience we’ve had. I hope management sees this as constructive criticism and makes hygiene and food safety a top priority.

I loved this place, the beef steak here is so good. But just want the waitress minimize her check on us, like she asked us if everything okay 4,5 times. I still visit again and recommend friend too.
