I will start by saying the service at this place is absolutely amazing. Very attentive owner and the meals came out quick. Really nice experience in that regard. The reason for the 4 stars is because the taste of the tomato pasta was mediocre. I was not able to enjoy it. The pasta so very bland and lacked flavor. It was truly inedible and so disappointing.

Let me start by saying what an amazing experience we had! My now husband and I got married at Hartford City Hall and wanted to celebrate with a nice dinner with our family. I chose this restaurant based on the great reviews since we’re not from Hartford, and boy, am I glad I did!
From the moment we walked in, everyone was so welcoming. Jimmy had a lovely, quiet table ready for us and was incredibly kind. Our waitress, Michelle, was phenomenal, she truly made us feel like family. The food was outstanding, from the delicious cheesy bread to the complimentary dessert they surprised us with.
Everything was absolute perfection. Salute is well worth the drive, and we will definitely be coming back!

James was absolutely fantastic!! My friend Mia and I came in before our 21 pilots concert. We had a blast, and James made great recommendations! Someone else suggested we share a dinner, since the portions were so big and we couldn’t bring them to the concert, so sweet and considerate! We had the 8oz filet minion that had a delicious smoky flavor, and the chicken gnocchi was delicious as well!! We split an espresso martini as well and James had it split into two separate glasses for us along with our dinner as well! Will definitely come back if ever in the area!

Our food was excellent and the atmosphere was cozy, but the real star is the staff! Our waiter was so kind and everyone was so welcoming to our son, who was acting out the nutcracker around the restaurant.
We were there around 330, so it was quiet and perfect for an afternoon out. They had many tables set for reservations to arrive just as we were leaving.
