We’ve had many wonderful dining experiences here with family and friends. Our most recent visit was with a group of friends. Overall, everything was good, but I do wish the staff had gently reminded us when it was clear we had overordered.
One of my friends didn’t fully realize how much food we had ordered, and having ordered quite expensive four soups, three of them are similar, and I believe they were not necessary.
In the end, even with special discount, each of us spent nearly $50.
While this isn’t necessarily the restaurant’s fault, it would have been appreciated if the staff had kindly flagged that we were ordering duplicate or very similar items. That small level of guidance would have made an already good experience even better.

Went to Yu’s Mandarin for lunch on a Friday
afternoon it was packed and was pleasantly surprised by their lunch special, definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in Schaumburg. Super clean and well-organized, with generous portions and excellent value for money. Their chili oil is amazing, an absolute must-try! Service was friendly and attentive.
Pro tip: don’t leave without picking up a jar of their chili oil for home.

Authentic decoration items and layout nicely , nit over crowded. open kitchen, reasonable price with average service. Flavorful, tender , juicy Mongolian beef with great aroma. Juicy, Tender with crisp green beans were on point. Seafood and vegetables over crispy noodles was good with mild flavors, seafood were cooked perfectly, mixed vegetables are tender and crisp. We enjoyed all the dishes .

Arrived 2:30 pm on Sunday, restaurant was less than a third full. Got sat in the back party room along with 3-4 big tables of 8 or more. One server handling the whole room with a busser — she really didn’t have much help. Ten minutes to take our order. Ordered a coke, it came with the food. Crab Rangoon came later than main dishes. The icing on the cake, and the reason for the review is due to the fact that they included a gratuity charge for 4 adults and a baby. I’m pretty irritated at this point. I ask the manager if this is customary, and he says no, and offers to remove it. However, the card has already been charged and he offers to refund gratuity back to card. We really wanted to leave so we left the gratuity on and just left.
We don’t visit often, but I’ve been coming to Yu’s since the late 80’s. It’s definitely changed over the years but today’s experience was pretty disappointing and we likely won’t be back.

Last time I was there the service was really slow even though it wasn’t that busy, I think it may have just been the waiters that specific day. But this time, service was so great, nice workers, no long waits, got out food right away. Took a while to get my tea because our server was probably busy but got it to us right away, tasted great as well, nice and hot in a pot. Overall food Tasted excellent as always. Its a bit of drive but worth it.

I’ve been there several times, experience is always fantastic. Food is REALLY good. The robot thing is a little odd…..I always try to get it to roll over my foot or something, but it doesn’t. it’s cute. Glad it don’t sing or dance or anything. Classic styling, laid back atmosphere, meticulously clean. Ok, we all remember the place where your feet stick to the floor in the buffet line where you could suck down 40 crab rangoon chunks while waiting in line…..this is NOT that. I believe Yu’s to be a great value with great service. I’ve never once waited more than 20 minutes for anything. Sometimes I wish they were slower, but they keep top cadence. Great crew, great chefs. Great material.

Stick with noodles only here don’t eat the meat.Recently ordered carryout and took it home 45 minutes to find out that it was tough chewy like rubber. So for the second time had to exchange the second dish in six months for poor quality of protein. I then ordered again and after driving 45 minutes to pick up the replacement it was just hard and chewy, had to spit out all the into a cup. I think it was cheap or from a very stressed animal and cooked hard. Also, I found only one onion piece in my dish, so now skimping on the onions and veggies quality too. I understand costs are going up stick with the noodles and the soup.
