Burgers were cooked really well – juicy and great flavor in the burger meat itself. I would come back again if visiting and wanting a burger, however none of the flavors of the burgers or fries would make this a must visit location. And of course being surrounded by top quality fry vendors here makes these fries very ordinary by comparison.

A nice restaurant near Antwerp railway station where you can eat handmade hamburgers and beer. The price flavour balance is very good. Although it is a bit narrow, the flavour of the food is worth going.

Amazing lunch at Ellis! The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and arrived quickly. Those fries are easily some of the best I’ve had. 10/10 would recommend for a quality mid-day meal.

Starters (crispy flaked chicken) was essentially an OVER cooked/burnt burger fillet cut into pieces! It was so burnt that we had a hard time chewing it. 10 euro rip off!
The misery didn’t stop there, burger also came with an over cooked patty.
Moving over to my partner’s burger, the beef patties were over cooked on the outside and raw on the inside.
The burgers didn’t have any taste!!
This was the most overpriced/bad value burger I ever had!
(they were nice enough to ask for a feed back and didnt charge us for the starters).

This restaurant is located very near the Antwerp Central train station. A very nice area where are you’ll find many choices to eat and shop.
The Classic burger, which is what I got, was pretty good actually. Signature burgers on the menu also sound good as well but I haven’t tried.
Fries were a little dry. I would pass on that.
The “lemon” lemonade tasted very good and refreshing.
I definitely recommend getting that.
Not a large seating area. They can fit at most about 15 people altogether in the restaurant. Kind of small.
Otherwise the atmosphere is pretty nice.
While I was sitting there, I felt the service was kind of dependent on who you were and your potential to spend. A bit inconsistent unfortunately which is not how it should be at a restaurant.

Great tasting burgers!!! Interesting concepts as well which are delicious. Atmosphere is casual and cozy, especially in the upstairs were you can have a view of the shopping area.
Pro Tip: payment is done at the main counter so when you are done just walk up to pay…also, their burgers are standard medium rare so be sure to ask for well done if you a one of those (like my wife) .

Good service, alright food and uncomfortable area.
Because we are in the winter months and it is rainy outside, we decided to sit inside. Bad choice.
There is a constant whirring of the machines in the open kitchen that is really disturbing. You can not eat in peace.
We ordered the burger combo for 21.50 euro
Sticky flower wings, signature Burger (+1.50) and fries.
The sticky flower wings were FANTASTIC as per usual, the Ribby Rebel was amazing, but the fries were too dry, and hard. This really undermined the burger.
The service on the other hand was very good and the servant was very friendly.
My recommendation: go here when it’s warmer and dry outside, so you can sit there and not get bothered by the constant sound of the kitchen.

Very good burgers! Made fast. The homemade ice tea didn’t dissapoint. Would recommend 🙂 (unfortunately made the first burger with sesame after letting them know about my sesame allergy, but after pointing the sesame out on my burger they made a new one immediately without any hassle)

Went there for lunch on a sunday and only 1st floor was open. They had 2 staff for around 10 tables. So the service was a bit slow and for some people their drinks even came after they received their food.
We got the korean specials and they tasted ok.. but when i looked at my meat patty is was undercooked. So i switched with my husband. Also we got the menu of 20 euro and got the onion rings, and then fries. The onion rings were really not good, tiny and not crunchy.
Will not be coming back, since i was dissapointed about this whole experience.

My wife and I decided to have an early dinner at Ellis. The menu was promising. The steak was good in relation to its price, and the classic burger was a good attempt to elevate the usual burger. Some side dishes weren’t available though.
The let-down was the service. So if you come here, keep your expectations low. Because we decided to sit outside (we love the cold weather), it took some effort to have our order taken. A couple inside the restaurant even had to help us get service. When the lady server came, she seemed very disinterested to help. Later on during the service, I ordered an additional bottle of water for my medication. It never came. And throughout the meal, there was zero effort at all to check up on us, which is standard in many restaurants. And to think that the place wasn’t fully occupied yet.
Definitely not a tourist trap. Good food, but mediocre service.
