Food was very good. Delicious and well presented. I had the cheesy Gulbijim and same dish minus the cheese. We also ordered one of the soups. Service was pretty amazing and accommodating. It got busy pretty quickly and wait time for a table can be a bit long BUT plenty of seating. The atmosphere is very friendly and family oriented. Over all I truly loved the experience.

Both service and the food are outstanding! The dining time is limited to 90mins but it’s pretty sufficient. Their banchan are great, especially, the shrimp cake. I ordered their appetizer fish one and I highly recommend that. Aside from those we ordered a soon tofu and dolsot bibimbap. Personally I think the bibimbap is more special compared to soon tofu. But overall it’s a great experience and we are likely coming back.

This restaurant was recommended by Google. It had excellent rating. So we decided to have a try. Its food was really absolutely good. We ordered three dishes to share. Mo Deum Soo Yook was the best for three of us. We highly recommended it. It is a mixture of pork meats. Really good. I like spicy food, but I found Galbl Tang more than the spicy one, Guk Bap. Same as other Korean restaurant, there were small dishes as appetizers. The restaurant was clean and good distance between tables. The staff were nice. It was very Korean atmosphere in the restaurant, fall like in Korea.

Highly recommend this restaurant for Korean food.

I come to this Korean restaurant all the time, and I think their oxtail soup and the cheese beef short ribs are both really delicious. The service is good and the food comes out very fast.

Just be prepared to wait over an hour if you come on weekends—especially weekends.

One fun thing is that every time you get seated, they give you two bottles of Yakult. I think that’s pretty cute.

Overall, this is my go-to Korean restaurant in the South Bay.

If you’re craving truly authentic Korean soups and stews, Kunjip is a gem in Santa Clara that feels straight out of Seoul. From the moment you walk in, the clean marble décor and glowing yellow signage set a refined yet cozy tone. The tables are neatly arranged with scissors, condiments, and utensils ready—everything perfectly organized for a satisfying Korean meal.

We arrived around 10:00 AM right after opening and were seated immediately — no wait at all, which made the experience even better.

We came for the signature soups, and they were phenomenal.
• Seollong Tang (Beef Bone Soup) — the broth was beautifully milky and rich, with deep beef flavor from long-simmered bones. It came piping hot in a stone pot with thinly sliced beef brisket and noodles. The taste was gentle and soothing, and you can season it yourself with salt, pepper, and a generous scoop of chopped green onions from the table pot—just like in Korea.
• Galbitang (Beef Short Rib Soup) — a clear, elegant broth with tender beef ribs that fall right off the bone. The soup was enhanced by the aroma of jujube and egg strips, creating a comforting and slightly sweet flavor.

Each meal came with three side dishes (banchan) — kimchi, marinated cucumbers, and radish. All were fresh, crisp, and well-balanced in spice.

We also appreciated the small touches: the neat condiments tray with fresh green onions, the clean salt pot, and the friendly service that offered Yakult-style yogurt drinks at the end of the meal — a fun and nostalgic Korean touch!

The portion size is generous, and the prices are reasonable for the quality and authenticity. Whether you’re here for energy-boosting Do Ga Ni Tang (ox knee soup) or cold noodles like Naeng Myun in summer, every dish feels crafted with care.

Overall, Kunjip delivers a perfect mix of homestyle warmth and restaurant polish.
A must-visit spot in Santa Clara if you love Korean soups, or if you want a comforting meal on a chilly morning.

Honestly I don’t get Korean food out often since I am Korean and how pricy it is now a days. However did visit here today and it was pretty dang good.

Had a few things and all of it was solid, nothing I would say that’s so amazing but everything was overall good.

Pricing wise they are indeed a bit high but with the side dishes and all, it’s a nice experince out.

Was really craving seolleongtang since having it in Korea. Found Kunjip and knew I had to try it. The bone broth is amazing and they put a very generous portion of brisket in the soup. The side dishes were also great and they refill them as needed. I highly recommend trying this place if looking for a great soup.

My fav spot in the South Bay for Korean soup. Their Seolleongtang, Galbi Tang, and Galbi Jjim are my go to. Their Seolleongtang is very rich and give a generous amount of beef and noodles. Their Galbi is so tender and flavorful too. They also have exceptional cabbage, radish, and cucumber kimchi which they will refill. Service is always on point and even though lines can be long, they move pretty quick. Def in the moderate price range but worth every dollar. Will be dining here for as long as I can!

One of the top Korean restaurants in the Bay, hands down. I absolutely loved their seol leong tang. The broth was very mild but I could distinctly taste the oxtail flavor. The table also has plenty of fixings and seasonings you can add to your soup. The bonchon while simple is executed menacingly well. My family loved their food too!

The flavour was rather ordinary, though the price was admittedly a tad steep at $77 quid a portion. Yet the serving was rather meagre—merely two pieces of rice cake, two florets of broccoli, and a great deal of pumpkin…
I was somewhat disappointed, being a regular customer of this establishment. Previous visits had not been like this.
