Dinner tonight was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The portions were generous and the food was full of flavor. Everything felt freshly prepared and satisfying. It is the kind of place that leaves you happy and looking forward to the next visit. We will absolutely be returning again.

Quick service and friendly servers, but the kitchen is subpar. I asked for my hash browns “well done” and received barely cooked potatoes. Even doused in salt they’re still hard to eat. When my waitress, a tall, older lady, asked how everything was I told her the potatoes weren’t cooked and she just kind of shrugged and walked away. No offer to replace them or have them finished properly. Not the first time the potatoes were underdone either, but the first time nothing has been done to rectify the situation

Great little diner. The food was good. I wish the coffee cups were larger. The pancakes were delicious.

Rating: 8/10 Experience:

I visited the restaurant last Friday night with my mom and sister. From start to finish, the experience was enjoyable and well-paced. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and our waitress, Ashley, was amazing—friendly, attentive, and checked in with us regularly. She made sure we had everything we needed and never made us feel rushed, especially while we were enjoying our soup and salad. The timing of each course was perfect.

My mom and I both ordered the Stuffed Salmon dinner special, priced at $27.99. The salmon was stuffed with flavorful crab meat and served hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked—it was truly the highlight of the meal. The dinner special included two sides, soup, salad, and dessert, offering great value for the price.

For my sides, I chose creamed spinach and mashed potatoes with brown gravy. While I personally didn’t care much for either, We were also served warm dinner rolls, which added a nice touch to the meal.

The soup of the day was chicken pasta, and it was very comforting. The side salad was fresh, crisp, and served at the ideal temperature. Everything was well-portioned and presented nicely.

My younger sister ordered the Big Bird from the kids’ menu, which came with ice cream. She received crayons and a coloring sheet, and her meal was brought out first—great for keeping her engaged and happy while we waited for ours.
One suggestion for improvement: I believe the menu could use an update, as it has remained the same since I was a child. A refresh would keep things interesting for returning guests.

The restaurant offers specials every day of the week, including weekends. These include dinner specials, early bird specials, and lunch specials. Dinner specials typically come with soup, salad, and dessert, while early bird specials include either soup or salad and dessert. It’s a good idea to review the menu closely to understand what’s included with each option.

Busy diner, large menu, but food is less than desirable, at least at breakfast anyway. My party Ordered a Ewing omelette and a western omelette. Both were overcooked and tough to eat. Perhaps it was left under a heat lamp too long, or maybe the cook left them on the griddle too long. Toast was burnt for both orders. Ketchup bottle at the table was nearly empty, and the booths are tiny and hard for a larger individual to fit into, matching the parking lot size. Originally came here on recommendation of my mother in law, but will not be back.

I dropped in on the diner early Sunday morning. I was trying to miss the rush that I assumed would be coming. I ordered their large breakfast of 3 pancakes, 2 eggs over easy, 3 strips of bacon, a sausage link and ham. The ham was flavorless, it taste like a canned ham was opened, heated on the flattop a few seconds and tossed on my plate. I will ask for an additional sausage link instead of ham the next time. The pancakes were good and I enjoyed the meal even though the ham was mid. The coffee was also kind of weak but I like a strong cup of coffee so opinions may vary. The service was great. The waitress was on point an staff very pleasant. I recommend them for breakfast just avoid the ham.

The Ewing diner, a classic made modern. A diner experience with just the right amount of kitsch. Is the food incredible? Maybe not, but it’s passable for what it is. And if we’re being honest with ourselves, do we go to diners because we’re looking for Michelin-quality food—of course not. Immaculate vibes and a taste of truly authentic American dining.

This was my first time here. I opted for the dinner special even though it was only 11AM. Judge to momma. Anyway, they had various special but I chose the jumbo mini lamb chops.-which is an oxy moron but whatever! LOL . I got salad, soup, entree with two sides and dessert for an excellent price. The lamb was cooked perfectly medium. The broccoli could’ve been cooked longer but the baked zucchini was delicious. I love the thickness of the lobster bisque but it tasted a little floury. The salad was fresh and crisp!

It was my first visit but I will definitely be back!

Ordered turkey Reuben. Not good for $18.99. Not even real turkey breast. Did not like that it is served open face with dressing on the side. Rye bread was not grilled enough. Also ordered one of the soups of the day. $7.49 is absolutely ridiculous for a cup of soup, 1st time eating there and will be our last. The friends we were with agreed. They were not happy with their sandwiches either. Too expensive for not quality food!!
