Had business at the Mexican Consulate in Indy today (04/02/25) and was searching for a nearby Mexican restaurante…A REAL, AUTHENTIC ONE…not an Americanized version with everything swimming in processed queso and lettuce. I wanted real flavor, and found it at this hidden gem only 8 minutes from the Consulate, with plenty of parking…away from the hustle and bustle of busy downtown. This neighborhood restaurant is quite, clean and the vibe refreshing, I felt as if I were visiting a friend in Mexico. The lady was so sweet and is the best damn cook! My homemade chicken filled tamales were Heavenly! There was lots of shredded chicken inside, her homemade sauce was excellent and it even had a sprinkle of melted Oaxaca cheese on top. The flavor was beautiful…now I wish I had bought some home because I am getting hungry just thinking about them. Her horchata is absolutely the best on this side of the border…I am not kidding. No other restaurant can compare anywhere. She has all the flavors balanced perfectly…the vanilla, the cinnamon, the cream and the rice water. My husband had tacos…he kept saying, this is good with every bite…he is from Mexico City so he knows a good taco when he tastes one. He also said the prices are reasonable. The only bad part, this restaurant is not close enough to where I live! If I am ever near Indy again this is the first stop. I highly recommmend this restaurant. Try it and I promise you, you will not be disappointed. Fantastico!

I live about a 3 minute drive from this restaurant and I’m so upset I didn’t discover them earlier hahaha. This place is sooooooo good and the lady who owns it is AMAZING! Haven’t tried something we didn’t like yet! The nachos carbón are my favorite nachos I’ve tried ever. The burrito Jalisco is so good. Sitting here about to try the taco salad and I already know it’s about to be bomb. We eat here *multiple* times a week at this point. I’m about to move and this is definitely in the top 5 things I’m gonna miss most about Indy. PLEASE give these people your business. You won’t regret it.

Really good food! Friend and I went there to check it out because she heard it was really good! We got our food to go. Both got street tacos. Steak and chorizo. Both were amazing! Not too drying. The chips and salsa were yummy too. The chips were a tad bit stale tasting but other than that it was great! workers were sooo friendly and attentive once we walked in. The inside has a couple tables and chairs! Felt very clean! Great prices for what we got!

So glad I discovered this gem! Myself and two friends got take out Sunday before the game and it was delicious. Tacos, a Torta, and Fajitas. All were excellent, the corn tortillas are the best I’ve had in a long time, salsas that accompanied were obviously home made and had excellent flavor. The staff were friendly, and you can tell that the food is their passion. We will be back again this Sunday to eat some more tasty food!

this is my second time coming down with the current owners (which in the past have fluctuated) and they were both enjoyable experiences. the first time was a family dinner with some extended family, they accommodated for the large part size. this time i went alone and the woman was nice and made conversation while i waited for my food. it didnt take too long and the price was a fair price for the amount of food i got.
when i got home i ate half of it and the rice was my favorite part. it had a nice taste and texture. the burrito i got was good as well but the rice was probably the best restaurant rice ive recieved.

Not sure if it’s because I have lived in Germany for the past year or that I’m a white Mexican but the verde salsa is hot!! But a good hot! Delicious tacos, with corn tortillas and a spicy but flavorful verde salsa. Great food and nice staff. A solid choice that won’t go wrong. 10/10

This place is wonderful! The owner is so friendly and attentive. The food is reasonably priced and delicious. It’s a nice and quiet atmosphere, which I thoroughly enjoyed as I normally can’t hear in regular restaurants. No frills, just good food. That’s the best kind of restaurant to go to.

This place has THE BEST authentic Mexican food in the city! The portions are big and flavorful and the prices are low. The service is even better than the food. Do yourself a favor and go try it. We stopped in after church yesterday and we will be regulars now.
