This will be my absolutely last time eating from Applebee’s at this location. They never get your order right? You wait long for it. I’m not for sure what this is supposed to be. I ordered chicken parmesan. It’s time to do better. I wasted my money and my time. I was better off going to Olive Garden.

When I went there I was seated right away so I figured it was about to be a good experience…WRONG! My kids and I waited for over 30-40 minutes before the waiter even came to greet us or bring us water. The restaurant wasn’t that busy (and I see why) for it to take that long. Then it took another 10-15 minutes for him to bring our drinks, then almost another 20 minutes for him to start bringing the food. The food wasn’t brought out all together (only 3 people in the party). One of my kids got his food first, then 10-15 minutes later they brought out my other son’s food, then another 10-15 minutes later they brought out my food so we didn’t even get to eat our meal together. Soon as I saw my food I was irritated because I’ve ordered this dish at other Applebees and it looked nothing like what I was served. I ordered a steak with potatoes and the steak was almost as small as a kid’s fist and was so tough and dry that I couldn’t even chew it. Meat was tough and dry like moose ankles and looked like it had been cooked on a George Foreman grill. Plus the mushrooms underneath were burnt. After waiting all that time and the food be TRASH I requested the manager. He came over and I explained that the food wasn’t edible and I wasn’t paying for it and he agreed to remove it from my bill, but instead of him fixing the bill right away so I can leave, he proceeded to do other stuff at the bar like I wasn’t even there! I got irritated and walked up to the bar and he kept doing stuff like he didn’t see me. It wasn’t until another female employee asked me if I was there to pick up an order I told her what was going on and that I was trying to be patient but, now I’m about ready to walk out, then he came over and fixed the bill. This was my first and LAST TIME going to that location. We were there to celebrate my son’s accomplishment as student of the month and they ruined his celebration. They need to do better!

**Poor Service Experience on May 5th**
Our party of three arrived around 6:00 PM and was seated promptly. However, we did not see our server until approximately 6:20 PM, at which point we placed our entire order.
Drinks arrived five minutes later. By 7:00 PM, our entrees were served without the preceding salads or appetizer. Upon inquiry, the appetizer was brought out as we began eating our entrees. We inquired again about our salads, which finally arrived as we were nearly finished with our main courses. These were delivered by a different staff member. Our server then informed us that the delay with our entire order was due to the salads, which we found illogical. While the food quality was satisfactory, the service was significantly lacking.
We also overheard a neighboring table, seated at 5:30 PM for happy hour, being denied happy hour pricing because our server was delayed in bringing out their order until after 6:00 PM.
This experience was highly disappointing, and we are unlikely to return.

Tonight was a terrible experience for my family and myself the server Ashley taking care of us was great very sweet took good care of our table everything went downhill when we placed our food order and NOTHING came out our appetizers took 30 minutes! Ashley was very apologetic I’m never the one to write a bad review however this was unacceptable I don’t know if they are understaffed in the kitchen but something needs to be done almost every customer was complaining about their food I felt bad for the young man who was the manager we cancelled our dishes due to such long wait we were charged for only our drinks and appetizers we did tip our server because she was on top of everything constantly making us feel seen and heard

This will be a long one. I have been to several different Applebees locations and have been very disappointed. Tonight, after years of not going my family and I decided to give them another try (first time at the Munster location). We happened to be at Cabela’s for Santa pictures and it was close so we were really only going out of connivence. I am so HAPPY we did. The manager at this location is phenomenal. She made the experience feel as if we were family. She was friendly, and responsive. Our server was a young sweet girl and was very attentive and effective. On top of that, our food and drinks were the best by FAR from all other local locations. We will defiantly be back! So glad we gave them another try!! We came on December 18th, 2025 around 8 p.m.

Should have read all the reviews to see if this Munster location improved but of course it didn’t. Took damn near 10 minutes for a server to greet us. Another 10 minutes for my drink. We ordered 2 side Caesar salads that didn’t arrive until 20 minutes later. We ordered Wonton Tacos for an appetizer that never came. We asked the waitress when she brought our food and she told us that they were out. So you were not going to let us know sooner before we received our entrees. When my 6oz sirloin came it was over cooked. So I had to wait an additional 10 more minutes . The waitress never checked on us. I keep giving this place a chance but it seems like it’s getting worst. My family will not return!

Slow service, mediocre food, unsanitary preparation. I sat at the bar 20 mins before the bartender was told to come out by a co worker . Once the bartender came out to make our drinks he did not wash his hands or rinse our glasses and tried to use a salted rim maker that had been sitting there exposed for I don’t know how long. I asked to have the glasses rinsed. He proceeds to make the drink after rinsing the glasses , but not with a salted rim, which the drink calls for, then he spilled the drinks and set them in front of us and said he’ll make another one for one of them, he got an attitude and said verbatim “they finna piss me off already”. I left . It was too much. There are however some great workers there and the manager I had spoke with was very professional prior to that encounter.

The overall service experience was disappointing. The restaurant appeared to be significantly understaffed, which resulted in slow and inattentive service. Our children did not receive the drinks they ordered, refills were not received and the alcoholic beverage from the menu was of such poor quality that it was undrinkable.
Additionally, our table was not provided with boxes for leftover food, and we were given the check but left waiting without further assistance. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations in terms of service and attention to guests.

Our waitress Kayla was awesome but the food and and drinks was horrible, food was cold, evidently the bar tender was actually a server so the drink was straight syrup and horrible. The manager said it was her first day I ordered a second drink and it clearly said frozen on the menu and it came to me and was not frozen .The waitress advised the bartender she said so and rolled her eyes. I was pissed ready to fight customer service is horrible from the kitchen … I’ll never come back until this changes !!!!

If I could give this Applebees zero stars I would. After experiencing a terrible experience at the Crestwood location I say maybe it’s just one location but NO. On my daughter’s birthday last night I left the Indiana location absolutely disgusted! We are seated right away. For our waitress to come over take our order with NO notepad. That was the first red flag because I knew that was recipe for a disaster but I still gave it a full chance. I ask the waitress do they serve STRAWBERRY frozen margaritas. She says yes. I order one starting off. My drink was brought to the table and it was regular lemonade she tells me that’s what I ordered and I tell her for a fact I said strawberry. So the waitress takes the drink pour some out and squirt strawberry’s syrup in my drink. Now the drink wasn’t even frozen and I did not want it. Then she brings our salads out I reach for a fork. ALL 4 forks were completely filthy you can literally see the food stuck on the utensils. So we ask for plastic silverware. As I bite into the salad I notice the lettuce is brown and it tastes warm like it’s been sitting out for hours. Now I’m completely upset and the waitress catches an attitude because I tell her I don’t want any of my food but my kids and my cousin did. She gets the manager I explain everything and how I only wanted 3 of the 4 orders. They come out with only the kids food and charge only the kids food. My cousin did not receive his food. And he was pissed because we were out all day with my daughter for her birthday. She didn’t get the experience of getting sung to and the entire dinner was ruined because the terrible customer service we received from employees that clearly need to be let go. I will NEVER dine out at this restaurant again in my life. I couldn’t help but notice the attitude Wendy had after she completely ruined our dinner she didn’t finish servicing us but she was hugging and talking in the back with a guy at work. How helpful. I will be reaching out to corporate about this matter. -Signed a pissed off mother.
