This is probably the last time we go to Panera…. and you can thank the GM. I drove 30min from Sylvan Springs for breakfast for my wife and child… Round trip is an hour… Chatted about 3D printing during a time where there were barely any customers.
Whoever bags the other checks all four checks, seals the bag, and still doesn’t get what I ordered in the bag, the Creme Brulee bites.
I called and spoke to the GM Daniel, who seemed way too comfortable with refusing a partial refund, which is against Visa merchant terms and conditions, per some supposed Panera policy, which evidently allows customers to be ripped off. He threw his cashier under the bus, blaming him for not getting it. Where is the integrity?
He gave me a non-working corporate number, told me he’s given it out so much that he memorized it.
This should scream “we might not be doing something right,” but it seems all we get for taking the money and not providing the product is a cheap apology.
Here’s the fun part. I wore AI glasses, and have video of this, and a recording of the call. They should be embarrassed not because they got caught, but because McDonald’s treats customers better.

I come here every day as a hangout spot, the employees are amazing and very sweet (They all deserve raises) The food is amazing, especially the desserts, they are to die for!!! The atmosphere is top notch, especially at night with their lights on the outside patio or the windows seats. All in all, if you’re in the area, you should swing by for the extremely polite employees and amazing food.

I’ve only eaten at Panera once for my birthday, and that was a pleasant in-store meal. However, my recent DoorDash order was extremely disappointing and frankly, inedible.
My broccoli cheddar soup arrived looking over-microwaved, missing the usual small pieces of broccoli, and just appeared old. The avocado on my Chicken Avocado Sandwich was not only covered in prominent brown spots but also completely mushy. To make matters worse, the lettuce and tomato were old, wilted, dried out, and flimsy. The bread on the sandwich was also old and fell apart, which, combined with the other issues, meant the entire sandwich was impossible to eat.
The quality of the ingredients and preparation for this order was far below acceptable standards. It’s incredibly frustrating to pay for a meal that ends up being this poor. I sincerely hope Panera addresses these significant quality control issues, especially for delivery orders.

I don’t normally post and say bad, but this time after 5 attempts it deserves posting. I always eat the same thing and ask for it to be done the same way Everytime. 5 times only one time done right! Grilled cheese crispy toasted bread and soup. I got spongy slightly toasted grilled cheese and the girl who answered the phone wanted to argue saying it felt hard when she wrapped it. No one takes responsibility for their actions. I have video of the soft spongy bread. I guess that is not allowed to post, If I could post it I will. 2 sandwiches both spongy soft! Consistency is the key. That’s what I learned when cooking!

The food is great. The drive thru could use some work. It is very slow, so do not be in a hurry and go through the drive thru. The employees are nice and I am sure they are doing the best they can.

I do not go to Panera often because we haven’t lived near one due to military life. However, while I was traveling to visit family in Alabama, I was craving a fountain Mountain Dew and remembered Panera was one of the few stores that had that product.
And I just want to make note and thank the employee in the drive thru last week (Sept. 2025) for treating me with such kindness.
So, thank you to this employee at the Panera in Gardendale for being kind to this military family. We have been going through some of the hardest things we have ever had to face and it’s just nice when someone smiles, looks you in the eye, and helps you out no questions asked.

Beautiful selection of bagels, breads and pastries prepared fresh daily. Very sweet and personable cashier. I haven’t eaten here YET, but the first impression was the reason I’m coming back.

Based on my first visit, this place is phenomenal. I got a Baker’s dozen of bagels for ,$10.99 and had some sliced like a loaf of bread. They topped it off with a catering bag to carry them all to my work party. Totally recommend. A+

We ordered our food and they were nice but when we pulled up to the drive through window MAJORITY OF THE STAFF (teenagers) were on their phones making snapchat videos , doing tik toks , playing around and also NOBODY HAD ON A HAIRNET. PLUS I did not see any staff wash their hands ! Fire the whole staff and hire some new people ASAP!
