Fun place for the littles. Took the 2 grand babies and they had a blast watching the train deliver the food to the tables. Simple menu with burgers , hot dogs and sandwiches. Very busy but the food comes out quickly.

Needed a quick lunch so i placed an order for pickup. Tried the Keely burger, it was pretty good for a fast burger. The fries didn’t taste very good though- maybe old oil? Friendly staff.

Took my five year old granddaughter after a visit to Sea Life. They atmosphere was great. Very busy. The service was great. It’s a little hard to hear while placing your order one the phone. I got the Gindare which is a cheeseburger with hash browns and onions. It was decent. My wife loved her barbq chicken sandwich. The onion rings were delicious. My granddaughter had a kids meal cheeseburger. No complaints. We loved the place. Very fun.

The chili was DOG FOOD. It had the look, texture, and taste of literal dog food. The limeade was good but good lord.

Finally I got a chance to try the train restaurant aka Fritz’s. Love this place and kids like the way a train delivers food too your table. My biggest complaint is they do not have much options for vegetarian food. The Tater ties, nuggets are good. Onion rings are so-so. Ambience is great.

Came for the trains and was shocked by how good the actual food was. If you’re a lover of trains, model trains or just cool inventions, you’ll have a blast here. I could not contain my excitement. The vibe was excellent, every table was having fun. Perfect place for kiddos. The food was hot and fresh. I got the gen dare and it was like no other burger I’ve had before. The tater ties were so crispy and perfectly seasoned I regretted not getting a large. Just a really cool place all around. A must do in Kansas City, without a doubt!

Others have said it, “don’t go for the food”. It’s average and small portions. We had 8 in our group and everyone loved it, the kids were fixated on the train delivering food, too bad they don’t continually run. Service was good and everyone we met was friendly. The paper hats were fun too! Note: don’t order the 1/8 lb hot dog and expect anything much. I had to laugh, it was a toddler portion. They took a standard hot dog, cut it in half, then sliced it long ways. So you’ll have 4 pieces now, but you get 3 on a bun. not sure if that’s 1/8 lb, I sure doubt it as a whole standard hot dog is 1.5 oz (a 1/8 lb hot dog is considered a 8/1, meaning 8 of them make 1 pound). So if you got all 4 pieces of that sliced dog yes you would have 1/8 lb, but not with the 3 they give you unless the count the weight of the bun. Hummm. Everything was clean and we noticed they were prompt to clean tables, even in the middle of the week when not busy. We’d visit again.

Took the family here after going to the Zoo on Thursday. Wasn’t too busy. Seated instantly. Drinks came very quickly as did our food. This is a cool place to take the kids. The food isn’t “amazing” but what you’d expect from a little burger joint. It’s definitely about the atmosphere and the smiles on the kids’ faces when the car comes out to deliver the food. Would highly recommend and will fornsurw be going back.

One of the main things we’d heard from friends about Fritz’s was “the food is average” or “you don’t go for the food”. But my wife and I and our daughter went for the first time in late August 2022 and overall everything was great. Obviously it was super busy being a Saturday, but we only waited about 10-15 minutes to get in. Service was quick and mostly friendly, and we thought the food was great (double cheeseburger, strawberry shake, and pork tenderloin sandwich). The fries were just average.
