Fiesta Azul Tequila House absolutely delivered tonight.
We grabbed a seat at the bar and were lucky enough to land with Nery, who might just be the smoothest, friendliest, most dialed‑in bartender in the building. From the moment we sat down, she had the perfect balance of personality and professionalism — quick with a recommendation and even quicker with a fresh margarita.
We started with the queso fundido, bubbling hot and loaded with flavor. Then came the chicken and steak fajitas for two, and let me tell you — sizzling, tender, and seasoned exactly right. Plenty to share, and somehow still the kind of plate you don’t want to share.
And the margaritas? Cold, strong, and dangerously easy to enjoy. Nery kept them coming with a smile and made the whole experience feel effortless.
If you’re looking for great food, great drinks, and a bartender who makes you feel like a regular on your first visit, Fiesta Azul with Nery behind the bar is the move.
Food was a bit bland but definitely edible.
The place was immaculate, including the restrooms. There is plenty of parking and indoor and outdoor dining. We visited in December and the Christmas decor was on point.
I would definitely return if in the area but if it’s more than a 20 minute drive I’d pass on this place. Nothing against it, just there was nothing special that stood out to make me say it was worth more than 20 to 30 minute drive.
Do not go here !
We came to celebrate my daughter’s 15th birthday on February 18th. Our bill totaled $164. We tipped also.
The service was OK but nothing above and beyond. Two members of the party have a severe allergy that we had to reiterate several times to the server. They could clearly see my daughter wearing a birthday hat and the small cake we brought with us to celebrate yet no one offered so much as a simple
” happy birthday ” which made the experience lackluster but not horrible .
Then the food arrived. My three of my kids and my husband ordered Birria. It was disgusting! It had a “gamey” taste similar to improperly cooked lamb and a weird smell.
I ordered the lettuce wrap steak and shrimp tacos and my other child ordered a version chicken fajitas over rice .
My own food was flavorless, bland, and the shrimp were overcooked quite a bit.
The virgin strawberry daiquiris we ordered the girls were the only highlight of this visit.
I told my kids we would just get them a hamburger on the way home but that thought was shortly lived when the girls IMMEDIATELY experienced violent stomach cramps within 20 minutes of leaving the restaurant. They were running to the bathroom. Since then 4/6 members of the family have continued to feel poorly and sick. In fact, I am writing this review from my bathroom!
I am baffled as my husband and I formally came to the restaurant about a year and a half ago and experienced nothing like this.
I read a concerning review prior that mentioned stomach upset and I just chucked it up to oh well Mexican food + corn + those people probably had drinks so…
Not too alarming.
But I’m telling you I feel truly awful and regret ever coming here, especially on my child’s birthday of all days!
Needless to say we will not be back and will advise others to avoid this establishment!
Nitpicks: had to wait until my meal was almost gone to get a drink refill (water), and the price to value is just a bit off I think, for some meals. I got the Tequila Lime Chicken – which was AMAZING – but I thought the Rice Bowl with chicken was way better in flavor and tenderness. Also, there was way more food in the rice bowl, at a lesser cost (25% less). Maybe the TLC was a specialty dish or something. ♂️
Only other challenge was the overall volume/loudness of the place. It was BARELY possible to have a conversation and give an order without actually yelling. (put some foam on the walls, y’all)
Overall, this place got it going on! Wonderful food and very friendly staff. Looking forward to going back.
The chicken fajitas were delicious, just wish they had some fresh tortilla shells.
The salsa I wasn’t a really a fan of… doesn’t have a homemade taste to it. The Queso and table side guac however were both worth the price, overall a solid mexican restaurant.
